I believe that the elevator is so short is because the plane is so short couped it takes less elevator for maximum throw.

Here is mine, it lived a short 16 flight life:(. It was a 40% Carden 330. The stabs departed in flight due to the "L" braket failure.

The three stabs are my 40% extra 330, 35% Hurley Extra, and a 33% GP Extra. If you notice I added the stab root mods on all of the stabs. Not gonna have the same thing happen again.....[:'(]

I got the stabs sheeted and the wings are setting overnight. My wife used my landscaping bricks for the yard (of all places) this weekend and so I had to improvise on weights for the cores.....
