Yeah Mike, get your old ass out there. You could use the fresh air. :D All jokes aside, sorry to hear about your health issues. Getting old sucks, trust me I know first hand. [&o]

RE: Should I upgrade my Traxxas Stampede??

Personally I would run it as is and just upgrade slowly as the need arises. Plus you will learn as you go.

RE: brushless motor question

Yeah no dice on 2 BL motors on one ESC. You can run 2 esc's on one Rx. You just need a Y-harness. Just remember to take the red wire out of the plug on one esc before you plug it into the Rx. You...

RE: MAMBA 2200KV AND 2650 KV

Its 7mm longer. Not a big difference. I put the 2200kv in my buggy on 4s and it was way too fast. Wound up changing to the 1800kv and its perfect.

RE:

Yeah they did it that way so you can remove the spur without having to take the whole slipper apart and having to reset it.

RE:

Actually I dont think any of them will work. The Duratrax was basically a copy of a Losi XXT.

RE:

I have to double check but Im pretty sure th AE spur gear will work. At the time they modeled it after a mix of the T-3 with a little bit of Losi thrown in. In fact if I remember correctly the Kyosho...

RE:

Thats the type "R" not the RTR. Great truck. I have 2 of them and still run them once and awhile. Would run them more but we are not racing stadium trucks at the track right now. I run a 17t pinion...

RE: Positive ID please?

Yeah your right its an Ultima ST. They came out with it when they decided to get back into racing against the AE's and Losi's. Its still one of my favorites. Ive got 2 of them and I still take one to...

RE: Biggest tires on 1/10 Slash

Ive used Stampede wheels/tires on my sons Slash. I had to increase shock preload to raise the truck so the tires wouldnt rub the body but it looked good and worked well.

RE: I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TRAXXAS

Im sorry but I have been racing "high end" RC's for over 20yrs and NO "racer" would be using things like aluminum A-arms. It great that you like it but dont give bonehead advice telling someone to...

RE: I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TRAXXAS

Yeah, your right. Why take a chance on breaking a $3 dollar part when you can replace it with a $30 part( that bends) while adding unwanted weight.

RE: turning a stampede into a SC truck

It really wont be that big of a stretch(pardon the pun) to convert it to a SC truck. A Slash is basically a Stampede with a longer chassis. The chassis height will be the same as the Slash once you...

RE: I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TRAXXAS

Thats the last thing you want to do. Aluminum has no give at all so it sends the force to the next part and breaks it. Or it just bends and you have wasted a lot of money on that aluminum part.

RE: What makes lipo's so good and fast?

The reason lipo's put out more power is that they have much lower internal resistance compared to nimh/nicad cells. That not only allows you to draw more power from them but it gives you more usable...

RE: wd40 as lubricant?

It really depends on what the bearing is in. When I raced Pan Cars I would take a new bearing, a RPM bearing blaster, and motor spray, and blow out all the grease. Then use wd40 to lube the bearing....

RE: Slash Transmission Rebuild ?

Steve Slayden from Traxxas suggest using 300,000wt diff oil to tighten up the diff for racing. Honestly I didnt have any so I went with the 100k and it worked well. You wouldnt run something that...

RE: bit of a newb,got a question

They didnt cost much new so it wouldnt be worth much to sell. They used foam tires and ran on indoor carpet tracks. They actually did very well and were fun to run. A good inexpensive way to get into...
