Ok so I went through the process again, I disconnected the gyro and put the leads back into receiver and confirmed that the surfaces were where I expected them to be .
The receiver is a Futaba 7014...

I have my c of g set at 260mm which is right on the centre of the wing tube, it flies really well with just a small amount of push on the stick when inverted.
All 4 of my batteries are in the nose...

Also consider JetsMunt very easy to get turbines serviced even though they are in Spain as are Xicoy.
Not sure where Kingtech servicing is carried out in Europe but not so common over here in the UK

The T-1 flies great at 260 which is right on the centre of the spar. I used i3dm's control throws above and found them fine although I use a bit less expo but thats just to suit me.
