Yes, I love that guy's videos. Have seen a bunch of them.

The OP wasn't very specific about the use of the $100 RC, so even though the 144001 is great value, it could be useless if he or (someone...

I haven't driven one, but in my research, I came across a lot of people who seemed to like that truck too. Nice to hear that you're a big fan as well. Yes, WL Toys quads used to suck when the...

I have that too. Downsides though is that the play time on that kinda sucks at 7-8 minutes. Also the pitch on the gears is pretty much impossible to find if you want to gear up or down w/o some major...

You're not alone. This is a popular problem.

This happened to me when installing a new ESC and transmitter. Quite frustrating and disappointing. Solution? You have your motor wires crossed. What...

I was wrong about it not being able to wheelie. It's easier with a Li-Po and if you gotta roll it into reverse and really time it to pull off the wheelie assuming it's trimmed out well.

I think you misunderstood me. We're on the same side. The iMax B6 is great. So great that it's knocked off. I'm not saying it's a knockoff in itself. I'm saying other companies have made their own...

The most popular budget buggy right now is the WL Toys 144001. There's a big modding community with lots of parts support but just be aware the pitch on the pinion/spur gear is 0.7mod which is very...

That's a big generalization that isn't particularly accurate. The HS 18302 is $35-40 ready to run and it hasn't let me down. HBX 16889 is a brushless for about $85-90 right now and it's my favorite...

HBX 16889 Budget Brushless RC can't get enough wheelies

I got addicted to the whole slow-mo thing. Some quick collection of clips for your entertainment. These budget RC's have really come a long way.

HS 18302 Budget $45 RC Bashing session

I'm not experienced enough, but the first thing that broke on my Haiboxing 15889 is the CVD. Get some spare wheel nuts and some locktite.

Make sure you're turning on the transmitter first and give it a second to straight out the tires on its own before you play. RC's need that few seconds before you get started.

Many of the budget RC's under $100 are within $15 of one another and sale prices also fall within that range, so it's less about price and more about what option fits the buyer. I have the 144001 too...

If you changed the pinion gear, I'm guessing you geared up with a higher tooth and the overall diameter is larger. The motor therefore needs to be pushed further away from the spur gear than...

You'll be fine but good that you're being so cautious. I'd be willing to bet on it. The extra 1v would only mean higher RPM but only slightly and also slightly hotter. 6.4v is a very abnormal size....
