RE: Venom VMX 450

It looks excellent and I'd love to get one! I can't afford it right now though and I think the Mini-Z Moto is first on my list.

RE: New Rider: Steering woes

I know this is a few months late but your steering linkage is probably setup to loose. I'm not familiar with the exact bike you have but most motorcycles have two springs on the servo horn. Try...

RE: Body size?

Its a Lockhart Phillips stand. I couldn't upload my pictures for some reason. There's a pin that fits into the steering stem and lifts the bike from that point. It comes with 4 different size pins so...

RE: Body size?

What are you using it for? I have a J Concepts Illuzion buggy body if you want the measurements of that one. They don't make it anymore though.

RE: Xray M18 Pro excitement

So I guess no one else races 1/18 scale anymore? Out of all of the RC racing I've done this class is by far the most fun and affordable if you do things right.
This race was pretty sloppy near the...

RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build

Well we got almost 3ft of snow four days ago so I wont be flying anytime soon. I was snowed in until today :D. I do have another switch on order and I'm really itching to get thing plane in the air.

RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build

The switch was $30 so its not to big of a deal. I can't wait to write the flight report :D. In two hours we got 2 inchs of snow on the ground and we are supposed to get another foot by tomorrow...

RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build

Well I got my electronic switch and blew it up shortly after because of a small wiring mistake :). We are about to have a huge snow storm anyway so I can't go fly. If I do have the chance to go fly...

RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build

I'm using the Zenoah G20ei with a Bison pitts style muffler and single cell li-po for the ignition. I did not weigh the engine, ignition, muffler and battery all together. When I had access to the...

RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build

Haha well mine can't be any better sense this was my first kit. It is lighter then I had expected. It weighs exactly 9 pounds 1 ounce and I was expecting it to be closer to 10lbs. I have a 10oz fuel...

RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build

Well my plane is 99.9% complete. The only thing left is the electronic switch from RCat systems for the ignition which should be here early next week.

RE: eflight ultimate and 2 ailerons dx 7

I program flaperons into all of my planes on the DX7 but I forgot how I got it done :). When I get home from work I'll check my radio and walk you through it.

RE: How to handle a difficult pilot!

I didn't read past page two but most people seem to think this club should just let everyone who goes there fly with no rules. Yes, the guy has a current AMA but thats not the point. If no one was...

RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build

I got my wing covered and took some pictures by my internet has been way to slow at home to upload them (and can't do it here at work). The Colors I used are Ultra-cote Deep Blue, White, Transparent...

RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build

That is exactly what I need. I didn't like the clunk that came with this Sullivan 10oz slant tank anyway. Its a piece of metal with a slot in the end, I don't think it would do a very good job of...

RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build

I don't find hovering a plane any fun to be honest. Its kinda cool for a little while but after you get a stable hover theres no flying skill involved. I'd rather be trying to perfect slow rolls, 8...

RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build

I have to say its kind of funny that you have a funeral home sponsoring your plane. I could almost see that as something like a death wish for the pilot if it was a real plane.

I really have no...

RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build

Thank you I'll definitely keep those in mind. I did find a way to hook up the linkage last night that I'm happy with now but I need to take the carb off to get the linkage on (Zenoah G20ei remember...

RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build

I'm just waiting on my covering to show up now. Apparently no one has Ultra cote around here. I do have to work out something for my throttle linkage too. The holes in the throttle arm on the engine...

RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build

Looking good! I bet you can't wait to fly it now.

I'm getting very anxious to get mine flying. Just had two perfect days for it but its still a few hours from being finished [:o] .

RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build

I'll definitely post picks when I'm finished but I don't have a video camera. I'm going to put everything as far back as I can to make up for the extra weight on the nose. The engine weighs 33oz so...

RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build

That looks good! I've never seen that pattern on the top side before but it still looks pretty scale.

How much sanding did you have to do to make the cowling fit? I sanded a whole lot of...

RE: GP .60 Extra 300S Kit help

Now I would just like to know how high the engine needs to be mounted on the firewall. I am mounting a Zenoah G20ei on the front of this thing so the pre-marked engine mount holes aren't going to...

RE: GP .60 Extra 300S Kit help

That is EXACTLY what I needed to know. Thank you very much. I want to get this kit built ASAP because I only have another 3 and a half months to fly it. I'll be starting basic training to join the...
