I was also shocked at the very sad, unexpected and tragic death of Colin. He was a good flyer and friend and should still be with us.
At the same time I would not be happy to see Boomerang Jets...

Unhappy Kolibri Turbines..What's happened to Martin Lambert?

I sent my almost new Kolibri turbine back to Martin Lambert in Germany last September for checking after it didn't spool up as it should. After I chased him to get it back, he sent an email quoting...

Ironic, but Ron still wants a Torus.

Email sent yesterday from Patricia to Ron Griswold after he had said he could find a box for it and we could get it collected;-

Ron:
Alan received an urgent call from our manufacturer in China...

The check for total refund for not just the Torus kit but also the shipping cost is on its way to Ron.

Sadly we are of the opinion that there was malicious intent in the way that this was...

Have you spoken to Patricia about this? I don;t think so. Surely you should have notified us? This is obviously not up to standard. It is not practical for us to open every kit for inspection, then...

RE: Torus CG

Hi Bob,
I put it like that in the manual like that because the Torus is a heavy model. That way makes it easier to lift, and is a simple fast way to check it out, so it's how I do it myself. Also,...

RE: Where has Boomerang jets been??

Boomerang Jets USA is alive and well!! As most of our regular customers know, our business consists of just Patricia Cardash and myself, Alan Cardash. We have almost never advertised as the kits...

RE: BOOMERANG ELAN - New Build & Setup Thread!

I originally designed Elan for the P70 or P80 size turbines. My original Elan still has a Wren Supersport (about 18 lbs thrust) in it and being light has a very adequate performance plus gets an...

RE: Boomerang Jets

What Colin says is exactly true. He has bought the European rights to Boomerang Jets.
All and any Boomerang Jets USA business is still going strong in North America, Canada and South America, and...

RE: Elan Has Arrived!

Have you actually assembled the entire airframe and then checked the wing/tail incidences? In my Elan design the tailplane is very slightly positive relative to the wing incidence.

Out of all...

RE: Boomerang XL II

The XL II is still popular, and selling very well in the USA. It is arguably the best jet trainer around. At speed it is like any other jet, deceptively quick due to its 90"size (quicker than it...

RE: Boomerang Sprint Build Thread!

The fuselage to wing joint takes a huge strain load during flight. The CG of the fuselage on it's own, (not connected to the wing) is way forward of the wing centre. This causes huge pulling stresses...

RE: Boomerang XL II

There's a posting somewhere in the Elan thread where an Elan wing seemed to flex rather a lot after take off and the guy realised he had left out the spar, flew very gently and survived the very soft...

RE: Boomerang XL II

Bob,
I edited my post as I didn't want to seem to be defensive about the XL, but the right wing is folding and if both spars had been in place that is just about impossible to happen. The rear spar...

FMRR, seeing that you asked, here's my opinion, which has already been given by the sentence you quoted from the XL manual. Please consider it and then make your decision.

When you have finished...

RE: Boomerang Sprint Build Thread!

If your grass is mowed reasonably and the surface is not too bumpy you'll have no problems with the 70. Just don't add any more weight than you have to during the build. I have flown mine from grass...
