Motor saver is in my opinion the best filter out there. I have a K&N filter for my Hyper 7 pro. and I dont run itit is strictly for show. I use a motor saver for actually running the buggy.

The Danlion 3500 with either the hobby wing or the waypoint ESC is a great combo for the king, and Not too terribly expensive, the waypoint is a better ESC but with it you hae to buy the programming...

probably couold use it's own battery attached to the inside of the canopy, add a lil more weight but hey, or you could get a Y adapter for your receiver, and wire it into your gain adjuwst channel....
