FYI I've sold the plane. Not sure how to mark it "Sold" because the ad expired, but in case anyone was still interested, it's sold.

Probably not necessary, but I would like to mark an Expired Ad as "Sold", in case it should resurface anywhere. Is that possible?

Sounds like you got a good deal on that. I see that one was being sold for $485 a few years ago on RC Groups.

Thanks for being up front about your offer. Given its state of readiness to fly, with that YS engine especially, I'm not willing to let it go for $400.

Where in NJ are you? Are you far from the Delaware Turnpike Rest Stop? That's about 90 minutes drive for me. I'd meet you there if you were serious about it.

2-blade vs 3-blade

Flying an OS-46 on a 3-blade 10X7.5. Will the plane fly faster on a 2-blade 10X7? The 2-bladed prop weighs 7 grams less, so perhaps I'll get more RPM, but I lose a little bit of the pitch. I can't...

I had mine for 3 years, and on a downline the upper wing split right down the middle. It was clear that very little glue was used to join the wing halves. Even the metal tab that screwed into the...

Putting together this model now. I'm not happy about the 8/32 wing bolts. One of the T-Nuts must have stripped threads, because the bolts slip. I'm thinking of replacing them with 1/4-20 nylon...

RE: YS 120 AC

Leaning the regulator makes a little sense now. I'll try that a little bit. Using 20/20 fuel. Weather here in Baltimore not looking too promising for flying for the foreseeable future (temp's in...

RE: YS 120 AC

I will give that a look. Why would it work fine on the ground but not in the air. Also, I've learned that some adjustments lean by going clockwise and some counter-clockwise. Which would it be for...

Anyone have an extra plate that covers the fuel tank? Mine came off in mid-flight and is unretrievable. I'm sure I could make a new one out of light ply, but I thought I'd ask if anyone happened to...

Battery has an internal balancing chip, so there is no separate balancing lead.

RE: Switch Question

OK, so if I have a new switch that happens to have a built-in charge port, can I use that switch for on/off, but still use the separate charge port for the charge lead?
