A bearing could conflict with the shifting? wow. i changed out one burnt bearing i should change out the other too. the only reason i shredded my spur gear is because i was hammering it hard going up...

I dont know what happend but yesterday i was running my savage and it ran fine shifting with ease. then i ate up a spur gear. changed it out tightened it, and today it wont shift! the clutch bell...

It sounds like you stripped the gear that turns the motor over. maybe get a new pullstart or if ur using roto start get a new rotorstart setup.
