RE: Top Flite Cessna 182 ARF

Maxi, I'm taking notes here. I did a few smooth flights too with no stressful maneuvers. Tail is still glued tight. I'm thinking about modifying that control arm in the tail. I might fashion and...

RE: Top Flite Cessna 182 ARF

Maxie, I did post about rudder flutter. A pull-pull would solve the problem but I too, saw the same problems you did. I can't believe TF would build this without vertical supports for vertical stab....

RE: GP Waco?

Still seeing some tendency to try and nose over on landing. Could fuel sloshing back and forth cause a problem ? It's an 18 ounce tank. Could the mains be too far back, should they have been built...

RE: GP Waco?

Hmm, Would'nt be a balance problem, could it ? I'll still try a 16 ounce tank and see what it does. In comparison, the GP Super Stearman has never come close to a nose-over and that being about 30...

RE: GP Waco?

It does'nt appear to be a wheel binding or wheel rubbing up against the inside of the wheel pant problem. I use plenty of up elevator too. Sometimes an asphalt runway is'nt always that advantageous....

RE: GP Waco?

Any of you guys experiencing a "nose-over" problem with this plane on landing ? The fuel tank is how many ounces ? My point is, landing with most of a tank full seems to cause a nose-over if it's...

RE: GP Waco?

Howard, This plane deserves a good 4-stroke. My personal rule is - "2-strokes for speed, 4-strokes for torque". I'm sure many will dissagree but you decide. Mike, I too, have discovered a...

RE: GP Waco?

And for Glow-Fuelers, like me, The OS 1.20 works just "Peachy". Only a few flights because of the strange weather here but, it's really a smooth flyer, just like the GP Super Stearman. They pretty...

RE: GP Waco?

RE: Top Flite Cessna 182 ARF

Sounds like a couple of good ideas. A ball link would take the slop out, a "pull-pull" would work too, OK, I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the tips, Seeya, MM
