RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

hey Pat, I had to update the post. I've had 3 or 4 of the 46 Do's. I'm not currently flying one. I have 1 in the box still but I'm not sure when I will get around to building it.
I think I...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Pat, sounds like you've got some good engines to set up a 46 Do. I've seen several guys with U Can Do's that were set up with too small of engines and they don't have enough power to have fun with...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Hey Pat, I've flown both the Funtana and the 46 Do. Didn't like the Funtana, love the U Can Do. They really are totally different planes and I've owned 4 U Can Do's and an only 1 Funtana's if that...

RE: areoworks prox260 any good?

My bad, I didn't look at the question well enough. I thought you were referring to a wing tube.

RE: Cheap, Wooden, and 3D?

I had a problem like this and lost a brand new plane. Turned out to be a elevator servo problem and it seemed to have "browned out" the system and with the older AR 7000 and 6100's it supposedly...

RE: airplane in a tree

That's what we did a while back. Since I'm a bowhunter the guy that lost the plane to the tree had me shoot an arrow over the plane. The arrow had a fishing line attached to it and then we pulled...

RE: areoworks prox260 any good?

Yeah, there's a carbon fiber tube in it.

RE: Cheap, Wooden, and 3D?

Of the two above the Twist is mostly for fun, not good for serious 3D, the Extra would be better for that. The OMP's mentioned above are really good for 3D but spendy, not cheap ARF's. The AX 55 is...

RE: areoworks prox260 any good?

I would definately build one if you have that much Monokote on hand. Wow! In defense of the Aeroworks Prox260 though, I think it's a great plane. Not every one has the time or desire to build and...

RE: Funtana .90

Yeah, I use a 14x4w on a Saito 82 with perfect results, I can't imagine that it would be a good setup for a 91 2 stroke. More like a 15x something prop.

RE: Funtana x100 - too scared to fly! Advice please

Is there anyway you can have someone take you up on the buddy box? That would help a lot. And someone with more experience can take it up, trim it out, and make sure it's flying right and then...

RE: Hangar-9

I looked at the Horizon website this morning for the UltraStick 40 and it seems to have changed overnight. Here's what it says now...... Temporarily out of production.

RE: Hangar-9

I just called Horizon about the Ultra Stick 40 and they said that they don't have any idea when it may in again. [:-] Kind of hard to order it when they don't even know if it will come in. [>:]

RE: Aeroworks profile

Good idea Dave. Mine was ballooning up some and I moved the CG up forward more and it fixed it. I'm going to check the alerons with a rubber band too. Thanks again.

RE: Aeroworks profile

I used some grommets that came with it. The stock set up is kind of odd. There must not have been any room to run the wires back to the wing area inside the fuse, either that or is was an after...

RE: Aeroworks profile

I used one that is a little bit longer and cut out a bit of the slot to put it in and then added some wood behind it to put the screw into. I didn't know what else to do since the LHS was out of the...

RE: Aeroworks profile

Thanks Ernie, I haven't flown it enough yet to get an impression of the 120. It doesn't seem to be too much weight on the front, it balances well and I put a 16x4W APC on it since that's what I...

RE: Aeroworks profile

Hey Ernie, Yeah, I got the second one done and maidened it yesterday. Probably the one trick that stands out is that with all the parts from the first one, the second one went together even...

RE: Which is better airplane overall

I owned an Inspire and it's a great flyer. The landing gear doesn't hold up and cracks and the covering looks great but doesn't hold up well either but again it is an exceptionally well flying plane.

RE: Aeroworks profile

Yep, ordered another one. I got a hold of Aeroworks and it sounds like they have been real busy trying to get orders out. Mine is supposed to be delivered tomorrow.
