RE: Aluminum axle hubs and a arms????

I have found that replacing factory parts with stronger aftermarket parts leads something else to break. As a solution, I have learned to upgrade parts that require more effort to replace, and parts...

RE: Hornet in the house... :) (not mine..)

Great choice on a first RC. I was thae same age when I received a Hornet also. I can say that the best spare parts to have are front A-arms and extra rear tires. The A-arm pivots don't last long...

RE: What RC vehicle can haul the most weight? Needed for music video.

Due to the height and high center of gravity, you will need something with stiff suspension, and firm tires to keep from tipping.

Assuming the surface will be smooth and level, an old pancar is...

RE: Alloy wheels

What is your goal with the application? Weight savings? Balance? Rigidity? Durability? Aesthetics?

A recomendation would be more accurate with a specific application mind, as different...

RE: my shell keeps flipping my chassi over.

From HPI, the Gallardo is a great choice. The Stiletto, Elise, 911, GT40, NSX, Pantera, C6 VetteSupra GT, CLK, or Countach are also great. The Stiletto would be the best choice from HPI for aeros. ...

RE: brushless on Nimh

It will run great. It will be slower than a LiPo at the same voltage, primarily due to weight.

The best runtimes and performance I have found so far in NiCd or NiMH is to always use a matched...

RE: parents say no to lipo...

Failure rates for LiPo are much higher than that of other media batteries. The elevated failure rate in conjunction with the greater potential for physical damage indicates a greater potential for...

RE: my shell keeps flipping my chassi over.

A few fixes;

1) You undoubtedly need a wing. If you don't like the look, put in on without painting, or cut a strip of a 2-liter soda bottle to mount on the rear (keeps it low and...

RE: parents say no to lipo...

I wouldn't let you have a LiPo in an RC either. PSP, copmuter, iPod, sure. They are designed for it, there are technology safeguards, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, charge/discharge rates are much lower. ...

RE: Tamiya Tamtech Gear Thread

Lube it on initial assembly, and after 4-6 hours of runtime (assuming it is adjusted properly).

Tamiya AWG is a great lube for most ball-diff applications. Use a liberal amount. Enought to...

RE: Hilux Body on SCX10?

If you keep a 4-link suspension, you can adjust the wheelbase. TCS delrin leaf spring will make the wheelbase about 1/3" too short.

The axles are very wide for the Hilux body, and the wheels...

RE: Cleaning DEANS?

Use a pencil eraser or automotive polishing compound to buff them back to bare metal. It will take some elbow brease. Do not use a pen eraser, as it will scuff the metal, and they will degrade much...

RE: Suggestions for me and my sons

Visit your local hobby store. Purchase a vehicle that they carry replacement parts for. This will keep the kids interested by reducing down time if they break parts.

RE: Micro RS4 rear problem. Please help

GPM makes low quality parts. The HPI ball diff will not slip like the GPM will. Follow assembly directions precisly when assembling the rear diff.

Also, Hardcore wheels do not accept a bearing,...

Poor designs - gear ratios are too low, shocks leak like a seive...

RE: all my ESC are borken :(

You will have to mail the ESC back to Castle. They will asses the damage, and (worst case) possibly charge a small fee for repair or replacement.

RE: ESC Motor Limit of Tamtech Gear GB01

Stock drivetrain is to be expected from Tamiya. It will serve mosts interests. I will not take the abuse of repeated crashes or hard bashing.

Best upgrades for the drivetrain are:

RE: ESC Motor Limit of Tamtech Gear GB01

Tamiya Tamtech stock motoer, and Tamtech Sport motor. Temperature will depend on your driving style and terrain. Best bet is to keep it in an area that will allow air to pass over it, which is true...

RE: Issues with differentials. Need help!!

Part of your problem may be your selection of manufacturers. GPM is not known for making quality parts. Sure, they look nice, but the grades of material they use are not very good.
