Trust me, if he made a mold , plug, vacuum forming equipment, and bought the PEG. He would spend a lot more the $55 and shipping from Australia. The PEG I ordered was $100 minimum order.

Either will work, the goal is to get the center of mass below the pivot point so that you a pendulum. If done in reverse the plane will flop to either side of the pivot point.

Google "RCM 1/3 scale Champ", you will find landing gear made very similar to your drawing. I used silver braze and a propane torch for the joints.
