The fact that it can do 60 frames in interpolated 1080 resolution makes this cam pretty much my best shot I think (pun intended).
And the fact that someone who is doing this on a professional scale...

Yeah I figured the tripod would falter when having to shoot at +45' angles.
Still might be usefull for take off and landing shots though.
Perhaps the string method gives you slightly more...

Im ok with small buttons, ive been using tiny gadgets for all my life. ;) But I can see your point.
The X100 has a zoom button thats a bit more comfortable but the viewfinder is a good observation....

Thats due to the crappy stock SD card, its much to slow to write 30 full pixelchange frames per second.
The latest edition of this camera has a much better card included.

How about glueing a piece of wood in under the pipe to stabilise it? Perhaps slobber it with some of that PUR foam? The stuff thats used to isolate walls. It applies like pudding and hardens rock...

I actually think it will decrease speed. I dont remember the technical mumbojumbo, but I suggested this myself once, and they didnt reccomend it. Something to do with greace trapping a layer of water...

I mailed the owner of the site and videos, to ask what exactly he is using, and how succesfull it is. We already know it can haul 5000mAh of lipo, AND a jetranger body, AND it can do so for ATLEAST...
