Also if an air leak is suspected in the front...

Also if an air leak is suspected in the front bearing... shoot some Windex on the seal from the outside and see if when running the engine it appears to suck it in... We always checked vacuum leaks...

One more thought. Did you use anaerobic...

One more thought.

Did you use anaerobic sealer on your bearing install? If not, you could be pulling air from the front bearing.

They would run the engine on the stand at.... likely 70% power then reduce greatly...a few short runs before putting on the plane..

In models... I do full power climbs... or vertical... a few...

Pennzoil Air cooled 2 stroke oil is an excellent choice to break in on... or more.. Most automotive parts houses will have it... a little bottle will do two gallons for about 3 bucks or less.....

I have a vid loading. The 17x7 needed to be re tuned, I had to rich en up the top end. When all done I saw 8640 after the flight. The little motor is a beast... I thought for sure the JC would load...

Totally personal preference... In previous posts the feel was that 3 line was the only way..Let my post reflect that.

I have a ceramic flilter clunk ($4) in my fuel tanks and in my fuel fillers... Never got crap from a t setup from 20cc to 150cc. Forgot to say never...

Here is a cut and past email from Frank Bowman on the reed block modification.

I found that on the rear intake's there is a Black plastic reed block between engine & carb. It has a flange on it...

The hump to me was I was reducing the throttle abut one click at a time and getting about 100 rpm difference. When coming down in rpm at around 3200(on factory ign.) it suddenly dropped to low 2k....

No hump in this vid. Both engines have identical servo geometry on the engine. Both engines...

By the way, to clarify, the black specs in the carb screen was from the deteriorating clunk line(came with the hayes when I bought it).

It fell apart very easily when I got it out of the tank....

FYI guys. That black neoprene tubing that comes with the Hayes fuel tank has done me in on two planes. I empty the tank at the end of the day and twice, right at 10 months got lots of black specs in...

Here is one I just had manufactured and stocked. It has a larger chamber than the stock muffler and also points down for profile mounted engines at 90 degrees mount.

I see an increase in top...

Wonder how it might fly with an extra 112 sq in of wing area?

Granted, at that weight and wing area 17 inch ounce is nicer than most full fuse planes at mid 20's and up for wing loading..
