I put the plane on the floor, and attach a wire to the tail. I made a see-saw contraption with two balsa sticks at 90 degrees on a pivot point...

Since the tail usually escapes more or less in one piece, I cut it from the rest
of the debris, epoxy it to a piece of scrap wood and hang it on the wall
of my hobby shack. I usually put a date...
