Astro 010 10Turn with a 10 or 11t pinion works great...

I am using a 2s lipoly etec and phoenix 10 and have had great performance and flight time about 20min. long in a hover!!!

If a NIMH gets too hot that can be bad but freezing it is just as bad(I think). A small cooling fan is nice too cool down your battery if you wanted to charge right after a flight instead of putting...

NO It's not good to freeze them!!!

Freezing them is not good because it can effect one cell and not the other causing an imbalance of voltage in that cell and when you put it on to charge the cells become uneven and will soon be...

I'm not sure which motor is used on the aerohawk but the GWS b2-C motor is great long lasting motor in my experiane for my hummingibird.
I belive it has carbon brushes that last longer........

What battery are you using. I've heard that if you use like 3s lipoly it makes the CSM too responsive even with the gain really low....

I would go with the Astro 010 10T with stock motor pinion and Castle Creations Phoenix 10 ESC from www.b-p-p.com (they sell it as a combo)

A brushless setup will cost about $120 and you won't have to buy another motor. It depends on your budget on what you want the heli to be setup with........

Oops!

I thought you meant the rotor head ball links...

The head shouldn't be so loose a breather of aire will let it rock,but it shouldn't be so tight that it will cause extreme shaking....

It should be closer on the side of loose but not so loose that any parts would come off during flight...

A speed 400 motor would probably be oversized/heavy...

If you want good power then brushless and 3cell lipoly is probably the way to go.

I think the Picoboard is acutally alittle bit better quality than the Hummingboard Mixer. The purple hummer mixer is adjustable but...

Their are lots of upgrades you can do with a hummingbird. Here is what I've done to mine :D

Main motor-This was the first thing on my Hummer to wear out and the brushless will last along time...

The one for 180 comes with a JR reciever which will not work with your tower radio.

The one that has brushless has already sold on ebay.

The airwolf is in Canada and looks OK
