RE: Inexpensive pattern/ 3D plane??

Hobbico Razor $119, and free shipping. It is one of the best 40 size 3d planes, bar none (even though it doesn't look it). It holds a line OK, if you move way in on the servo arm it will pattern ok. ...

RE: Great Planes Extra 300 GP/EP

Move the rudder servo to the tray and switch it out for a nylon gear. Remove the weight from the nose and you'll gain at least 0.25lb of thrust.

RE: Great Planes Extra 300 GP/EP

How did you end up with that much lead in the nose? Where are your servos and bat?

RE: NEW GP Eagle 580 Matt Chapman GP/EP ARF

RE: NEW GP Eagle 580 Matt Chapman GP/EP ARF

Wouldn't recommend any of those. Try the 65ax or the 55ax.

RE: GP eagle 580

Go with a tower hobbies Razor. You won't be disappointed. It flies very well with a .46.

RE: Tower Hobbies Razor 3D

Wing rock and hover corrections are probably due to it being a little heavy with a .55 and added tail weight. Also might have something to do with that wind noise I can hear on the video.

Great...

RE: Gyros for 3D flying?

Just practice. You are not going to get where you want to go with a shortcut.

Put one in a UCD .46 with an os .71 surpass and found out that it actually was more stable in a hover when I simply...

RE: Tower Hobbies Razor 3D

The .55 is ~1.5 oz heavier you will have slight roll coupling, get the CG right and most of it will go away. Keep us posted!

Edit:
It is a little F3A'ish but it surprised the heck out of me...

RE: Tower Hobbies Razor 3D

Flew a pre-production and this thing was quite impressive. I wasn't sure what has changed for the production model.

I believe I was just under 5lb with a .46 glow. With that setup it was pretty...

RE: Great Planes Extra 300 GP/EP

I would say just mix it out, If it holds a 45 up line you can deal with the down line. I think you are probably asking for problems by messing with the incidence, especially since it took us a while...

RE: Great Planes Extra 300 GP/EP

It will be a fun plane with that setup. Not full 3D power, but enough to hover. I would recommend using a 6V battery so the snaps are crisp.

RE: Great Planes Extra 300 GP/EP

This plane is only close to 3D power with an 81 FS or a 55 AX. But this is not intended to be a awesome 3D plane. It is much better at pattern and IMAC flying.

RE: Great Planes Extra 300 GP/EP

Save your money and get the razor from tower. it's about 1 lb lighter and flies well on a 46 on a 55 it is incredible. one of the best planes I have ever flown, regardless of size.
