RE: Ohlsson & Rice Antique Airplane Engine

You can check the VG2 plug by pulling it and looking, but I am pretty sure that all the Champion glow pugs are marked as VG plugs if they are glow plugs. The equivalent spark plug is the Champion V2....

RE: Balsarite or Stix it

I have used both Stix-it and Balsarite (fabric formula) interchangably to cover wood framed models with Koverall and other polyester(Dacron) fabrics.
I haven't found any major difference in using...

RE: Mystery plane

I got the plans of the Citation out of the kit box today and compared them with the photos supplied by Martensen. The photos certainly look like the Citation with some slight differences, perhaps...

RE: Mystery plane

Speaking of John Roth's Citation by Jetco. I was rummaging around in my workshop last week and found that I have a complete Citation kit in good shape, still in the original box and stored in a chest...

RE: Anyone have alternat thinner for Butyrate Dope?

Acrylic Laquer Thinner from an auto paint supplier works well to thin Butyrate Dope. If available , use the high gloss (slow drying) type.

RE: Using gorilla glue yellow wood glue

If you want a really strong glue that will seep into wood pores, dries fast and sands similar to most of the yellow wood glues, try Titebond III. It is good!

RE: Questions on CA Hinges

The suggestions made by DR Driver are excellent regarding installation of CA hinges. One additional little trick is to draw a line on the hinge line on both sides with a wax pencil or crayon, before...

RE: Is "Wood Glue" dead?

Wood Glue is not only alive. It is better than ever. If you don't think so, try gluing some wood scraps together with Titebond III and check out the resulting joints. Dries a little faster than the...
