I hope you haven't weakened the hull to much, it takes some severe beating when it flips.....ask me how I know :)

Room enough in the cat to put the tank on cg as I did.
I would go with 34% and use some waterbottles in the nose for tweaking your balast, 36% is alot...

For glueing the deck, you need to make 2 cuts in the deck as shown on the pic, this will make life much easier :)

You need to build on a jig else the nose and sponsoons will not be straight...
It needs to be true and straight any diiference left or right will cost speed or worse make it run cirkels

Yes, pine or poplar ply, I use poplar. here they also have balsa ply, that is birch out and balsa in.
All balsa would not be my choice since it is soft and doen't take hits very well, Glass in and...

If it really is 4mm marine grade ply then look for cheaper softer ply that is not marine grade.
This because marine grade ply is very heavy, good for the ribs and stringer but much to heavy for...

Drawings where scale 1:1 so 1.42meters long is the intended size ;)

I did build two 28" versions of the V2 MaxCat, both started as single drive electric but one is converted to nitro.
The electric is faster :D
The 1 meter Cat I will be buildng is a new design...

Craig made a nice set for a 72" version with rounded sides that is what is linked here.

Hull plating can be done in 1 piece, I find that much easier and you don't get seems.
Side plating 1 piece, deck also in 1 piece.
But you have to do the tunnel first, that is the hardest part and...

Henry, put an extra spacer in the nose to keep that size correct...

RCMK engines don't come from the US, but are Korean marine engines.
Just goto the RCMK site or ToughRacing that is also...

My V1 cat is 22lbs/10kg and runs 90+kph on a mild mod Zenoah engine.
So the extra 3" will slow it down but my guess is that 44mph/70kph or faster should be reachable.
Especially if you use a RCMK...
