RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

That box will work but you may need a heatgun if the motor has a lot of pinch. You will want to throw a 35mm flywheel for better contact. It's a good box I used it all summer. I'm gonna up grade...

RE: New to hobby looking to purchase need help, please.

Most buggy and truggy are made for racing. Truggy is also called arena truck. The thunder tiger is one of your best bets to start off with. I started with it and even started racing it with good...

RE: Tire foams

It will be interesting to see the grip vs tread life between the two. I'll probably opt for the mediums but then again I have all winter to decide..

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

Misasi I have not seen the .28 run but a few guys run the .21 in truggy and its a fast motor with good run time and plenty of power. Probably the best bang you can get for the price. Wish I would...

RE: Riding in Luxury

It's all about setupin my book. I purchased a rc8t to replace my st-1 and hated it with box setup. In fact luckily I had brought my st-1 to the race and ended up running it instead the the rc8t. Now...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

I did some work on my SW .26 for the heck of it and to be honest did not see much in return. I just smoothed out all the sharp edges on the boost port etc. Did not bother trying to cut guide ports....

RE: - Official Kyosho MP777 ST-R Thread -

I have the 5 port and it's a solid motor. The 5 port probably has more low end which is better for the truggy. The carbs on the new motors are revised and fine. Little picky on tuning till you figure...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

Something about a $8 servo makes me nervous. For the price you may as well try it out and see if it lasts.

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

That flywheel has only two pins and it is to large. I ran a 35mm ofna and it almost hung below the chassis. If you chassis slap bad you risk killing the motor.

RE: Race gear

The hyper .21 is pretty soft on the bottom for truggy. I ran it in a st-1 for a race and it got the job done but dont expect to blastin over big jumps with short run ups. If you can shell a little...

RE: Help decide

+1 With a good motor and good servos the st-1 is pretty fast. I raced all season with it and in the end got pretty fast with it. With the steering mod it can out turn my rc8t easily. Upgrade the st-1...
