RE: G62 Cunningham Conversion

Make sure the externa pulse line isn't cracked or plugged, make sure you put the diaphragm on first then the gasket to wards the carb body, clean all passages out with carb cleaner first.

RE: G62 Cunningham Conversion

Dennis, open up the pump side of the carb and put some fuel there. Sometimes the pump side won't work until it gets wet. Prime the engine also to get it running and all should be fine.
One last...

RE: BME 116 how different than 115?

Yep, I still have one of the first two of the 110 and 116. The 110 has to be about 10 years old now. There are many good engines on the market now, BME being one of the good one:)

RE: BME 116 how different than 115?

Most two strokes are low compression so high octane is not of much use. With some of the higher compression 2 strokes it can be and is beneficial. The one thing I can guarantee is, if you are lean...

RE: BME 116 how different than 115?

I would use high octane or avgas if available.

RE: DLE-30 Carb Wont Draw Fuel

Too much air is passing from somewhere if the butterfly is closed and it is still running, especially at that high of rpm

RE: DLE-30 Carb Wont Draw Fuel

Take a blunt object, pressurize the tank, then push on the diaphragm through the vent hole, fuel will flow, if it doesn't you have your answer.

RE: DLE-30 Carb Wont Draw Fuel

The metering needle could possibly be stuck, even a mal-adjusted fulcrum arm wouldn't stop the fuel from flowing when choked. You did open the needles after rebuilding. right?

RE: LA7 Info / Research / Build - Scale Wings

Louvers do a great job of extracting air. Most people don't realize that is probably the most important part of air flow, create a good low pressure area to move all that hot air out.
Trying to...

RE: DLE-30 Carb Wont Draw Fuel

Hmmm, you could be right.
All you need to make an engine run is spark, fuel and air. We know air is there so all you have to do is find out which one is missing to diagnose the problem and go...

RE: G62 muffler install, need advise Please.....

The pipe might or might not change the performance of the engine. I still would run a straight pipe if noise is not a problem, you can't use JB weld and instead of solder use braze. It isn't that...

RE: DLE-30 Carb Wont Draw Fuel

Thing is you have fuel in the carb as stated before so it is pumping. Time to start looking on the ignition side if you can't get it to pop. As captain mentioned a little more info would help

RE: Checkvalve replacement on Walbro wj-71

I didn't think the check valve was all that important, isn't it just to stop some richening when backing off of the throttle.

RE: DLE-30 Carb Wont Draw Fuel

Did you reassemble the carb correctly?? Also check the reeds and the pulse line holes to make sure they are lined up, they do run an internal pulse line right??

RE: Does DA make a high performance version of their engines?

He would polish the exhaust port, change the base gaskets to better sinc the port timing and go thru the carb. It really didn't increase power to any degree, but runability. I believe it was Salsa...

RE: Does DA make a high performance version of their engines?

They have a magnesium and cylinder lightened version of the 200, but no, they have nothing but stock. That does not stop you from modifying them yourself, change port timing, squish and squish angel,...
