RE: spot welding and simulators.

Not sure if you can spot weld those dissimilar metals, stainless should fill all your needs. You can make a spot welder;

RE: JR 9303 stryker setup

I think you need to set the model as a delta wing, flaperons. Otherwise use the reverse function. You using to outputs to the ailerons or one?

Joe is awesome. Product is expensive. Product has low parts count. They make 3D machines to scale machines. Electric to turbine.

RE: Super micro turbines

The day is coming, I hope I live long enough to see such small turbines powering todays RC models.

I can remember dreaming about jet powered models back in the '70's when they were verboten

RE: Jack Stafford Models Announces Closing

Excellent statement. My son, with my help, is building a Martin guitar for his senior project. The 'intimacy' of this is bringing the two of us closer to each other. My son who never built...

RE: Band Saw or Scroll Saw

You know, I have both, use both.

Scroll saw is great for cutting formers or something where you have to cut out the center and keep the outer....can't do that on a band saw.
Scroll saw has...

RE: Jack Stafford Models Announces Closing

We as a society have done this to ourselves.

RE: Dave Patrick Models

That is too bad that he has not only ruined his customer base but to sell substandard product on top of it.....

Some people like suicide I guess.

RE: FAI Documentation ??

A little trick I learned with heli scale competition and judging.

You can use pictures of the wrong aircraft, so long as the judges can't figure out that you did that. Black and white is a big...

RE: JR 8103 FM air radio

Look for swash in the functions setup (Where you choose model number). Choose heli as the model type. Great radio for heli. I keep one for a backup to my 9303.

RE: What are the most commonly used ply

You have lots of size choices, no material choices.

Myself I like to work in the 1/16-1/8 range, maybe some 3/16 and I use lite and aircraft plys.

For example I am scratching a pretty...
