Just one more thing. Is Xjet correct on the pushrods?? Do they have to be a particular way up?? Seems a little strange to me.

Success!! Checked the timing again and it was fine. Reset the valve clearances, primed here up and she was away first flip. Set the mixtures up and I now have my swiss watch back!!!

Guys,

Timing is smack on. However the clearances on the tappets are not. the inlet side is OK (2 thou) but the exhaust has no clearence at all. None! I guess this means the exhaust side possibly...

I have a saito FA-100 that I have had to rebuild with new pushrods due to crash damage. I have checked the compression and the timing is spot on. Everything seems fine so try to prime the motor...

Saw you fly the 190 at the Weston show. It just looked awsome (you make it look easy) and the sound....?? well it was so sweet. The Airworld models seem to have a real quality to them.

Fresh fuel and a new "OS F" Plug. Primed her up and got her going after a few flips with the needle at 2.5 turns. Ran on the glow clip for 2 mins...

I am trying to get my Moki 180 run in but cannot get it to run after starting unless I leave the glow clip on. 30-45 seconds after its removed the engine quits. Running straight castor fuel no nitro...

I'll take a look at the GP Piper you have suggested. I wouldn't mind covering it differently to resemble an NE-1 or L-4 Grasshopper. Not sure about the greenhouse canopy on the L-4 though!!! LOL

Thanks for the tips guys. I was thinking of a BUSA Cub, or Top Flite Cessna, something scale but maybe they are a step too far as a first kit. On the other hand I didn't want to go with say a Sig 4*....
