RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

The GPV uses 0.5 Module metric pitch gears. We offer pinion gears for 2mm and 2.5mm motor shafts. You can also convert the gears over to 64 or 48 pitch if you can work out the spur gear mounting...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Yes no problem use a 2S 7.4V pack and as soon as you detect it slowing down pull it off and change/charge the pack.

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Yes the stock gearing and Nimh's will give you about the same speed as stock give or take so that will be ok. Use Lipo and the speed will be better. Consult the gear chart in manual for gearing...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Hey not a dumb question, you just need to get the front and rear inserts or cut them out of the stock set. I suggest you buy a new set so you have tire choices, V1 & V5. On your new wheels take a #11...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Hi Steve,

No problem here goes;
1) Youcan but you will have to use the GPV lower shock pivot and see if the top pivot and shock cap clears the chassis. If you really want to use a TC shock I...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

I always suggest to new owners who want to go brushless that they start with a motor in the 5000-5600kv range. Anything more will be too much to handle and you will tend to crash pretty hard and more...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

The bike is not discontinued. Due to the economy we lowered the price.

If you gus need any set up tips or help understanding how the bike works or something like that Im always watching the...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Oh hey let me add that the servo should be aligned 90deg to the linkage, trim set to zero and use sub trim to adjust that.
Also turn down your dual rate and try something like 50% and have the high...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

The bike can be off a little bit so the first step is to make yourself a jig that keeps the front and rear wheel aligned parallel. Next loosen the steering spring and back them off to be sure the...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Hey guys, the top speeed stock is about 20mph. The top speed with mods like a brushless motor and Lipo is way over 40mph.

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

@hndaman1
The parts have shipped to you that we discussed.

The Brake Kit has very small alloy cable adjusters and some have not been made to specification. As a result some may break during...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

The first thing I would suggest is the Race Chassis. After that I would say the alloy chassis parts and softer tires followed by the forks and tripple clamps. Start from the inside and work your way...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

No info on the motor screws except many bolt patterns. Our bike motor mount will use M3 screws and has slots and two patterns so anything should fit it.
Check out the info on this page.

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Thats a good combo for the bike and it will go faster than stock by about 30% would be my guess. Your doing it right and practice more before you throw the big power into the bike. Have fun!

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Putting an 8K kv motor in the bike without having any long term experience with it and understanding it is going to lead to disappointment I can tell you that right off. Thats so much power and...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

The front should be firm but not stiff or difficult to push down. If you take the forks off and push them in and out they should feel as smooth as any shock you have built before. If there is...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

For the BL system I would suggest the Castle Creations Mamba system for 18th scale. Its a 25A ESC. For the motor you dont want to go any hotter than 5800kv and for a novice maybe something in the...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Ahh ok, no worries, yes if you put the steering stem in backwards that will be a problem. Other than that looks like you got it going so just keep practicing with it.

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

The GPV goes about 20mph stock out of the box. The bike can go over 40mph if set up for it. I think you and your buddies will have a blast with them and especially in a large parking lot with corner...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

Right, the GPV-1 is similar. Once you have it leaned over you can be neutral or add counter steering to adjust your line and angle. On power the bike will slowly stand back up as expected. Due to the...

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

All the above is true but in addition the front tire is left to find its own center and this ability is what balances the bike upright. The springs are there to influence the steering direction input...
