One thing I really don't recommend on a quadcopter are collet style prop adapters. Lots of people use them but I prefer bolt on adapters. For quads like the Deadcat I like Emaxx 2213-935 kv motors....

Is your experience mostly with glow or gas? Electric motors are smoother so it's not as much of an issue. You do have to get the props good and snug though.

Just get them tight. I've never lost a prop in all the time I've been flying these things and nearly all of them have standard threads.

Just make sure if you do use it on a quadcopter to cut the red wire on the servo lead. It will burn up the board if you leave the red wire on the servo lead
