Yes, reversing rotation for an e-motor is ridiculously easy: just switch 2 of 3 motor wires.

As with combustion motors, finding high-quality reverse props is the hard part!

Interesting project and questions

I do love the 61FX as a reliable motor. I put about 140 flights on a VQ-38 with them, never suffered an engine-out

I must recuse myself from serious discussion...

Very Nice!

Looks like most of the actual building is done

I had to retro-build Fowler’s on my CBA to tame the beast. (That took me 2 months!) but my experience with Ziroli airframe is that it...

Ram-bro:

nothing has been found yet. I’m afraid they’re in a landfill by now, but best outcome would be if thieves don’t know how tight and suspicious the Warbird community is and try to sell them...

Massive Theft

My Omaha RC friend Lynn had his (and 20 other) storage units broken into last week, ra some pieces of his museum-like collection of warbirds thrown in a truck and hauled away.

the big items:

We’ll try that and get back to you with test flights if the weather gives us a break!

Thrust line should be easy to correct, wing incidence not too involved: we may have almost...

Many thanks.

I’ve never SEEN a plane with 3° UP thrust!

Makes me wonder if a glue gun might have slipped at the sweatshop🤨. No obvious visual evidence for that. I’m gonna double check the...

Thanks!

So, do you think UP thrust would pull the plane up or down?

Think about what a 0° wing would do if coupled to a +3° thrust vector pulling level

Right-Left on the engine is 0° and it...

Thrust Vector Argument, please help!

I'm embarrassed to publicly admit I don't know this, but here goes:

If a single-engine tractor prop plane comes ARF with a +3 degree up incidence (crankshaft vs horizontal stab), What kind of...

AXi 5345 Overheated?

Help!

Trying to power sort of an "RC classic" with electricity.

121" Heinkel 219 built by Dave Platt himself 10 years ago. I suspect he got discouraged trying to fit a powerful enough banger in...

Giant Heinkel 219 by Dave Platt

I'm sorta new to electric: 30+ years in large warbirds, however. After dinking around with some foamies, then "training" on the Otter you see in the background, I teamed up with my buddy Lynn to...
