RE: Help to absoulte newbie!

You really cannot go wrong with the Savage, E-Maxx or E-Revo. They are fun to bash around, they can take some decent abuse and the parts are readily available.

I am more of a nitro guy than...

RE: did my brother ruin it?

I doubt it is ruined. I would pull the cooling head off of it and put some oil in the piston/sleeve though.

RE: s5 l2g break in

I used the heat cycle but it took at least a gallon before my S3 L2G started running consistant. It was one of the most difficult break ins I've ever done. Good engine, just a pain to break in.

RE: Dissappointed with Jammin Chassis

Check out DE Racing. They have a set of 3 rear skid plates for the Jammin for 7 bucks. Free shipping too. You can find them on Ebay or their website which I believe is www.deracing.com

Just couldn't pass it up

A couple of years ago, I got a Matrix and raced it two or three times before turning it over to my son while I race my truggy. Since then, I've wanted another buggy but was waiting for the right deal...

RE: this is all i think...

When I got my first RC a few years ago, I bought an off brand monster truck just to bash around the back yard. I told a few of my friends that had trucks and buggies that they were insane for...

RE: What's a good, versatile battery charger?

I just got a hyperion. Love it!!! I had a prophet plus and it was short charging all of my packs. I was lucky to get through a qualifyer before they were dead.

RE: RB Engine ?

Aside from several garbage RTR engines, I have had an OS .21 VG (junk) and run an OS XZ28, Jammin JPX .28 and .21. The RB is definately one of my favorites though. What nitro % are you running on...

RE: RB Engine ?

I run mine at 240 to 250. I would get a bit nervous if it hit 300. Just my opinion. They really don't wake up until you get a gallon through it. Break in went smooth but until I hit the gallon mark,...

RE: RB S3 L2G

I have the S3 L2G in my sons buggy. It broke in easily but was a bit hard to find the right tune until I got a little over a gallon through it. Now, it runs perfectly and has plenty of power for the...

RE: jpx .28 os .28

I have both and can say that they both have crazy bottom end but the OS seems to pull better on top. Either way, unless you are running on a big track, both engines have way more power than you will...

RE: revving high

If the opening in your carb gets smaller as you apply the brake, thats the reason for the high idle. Remove the linkage from your throttle/brake servo, turn your radio and reciever on. Set the...

RE: revving high

Check to make sure your throttle is closing all the way. You may just have to adjust your throttle linkage.

RE: engine temps

I just started race tuning my sons RB S3 L2G with the 2020 pipe and have found that it runs best at around 220 to 240 degrees. I'm running Byrons Gen 2 20% though and pulled one .1 shim out of the...

RE: ***OCM KAOS DT-19 BUGGY THREAD***

vnmsgt,

I was just looking at your site and was wondering, what is your opinion on the OCM vs the Caster Racing ZX1-R that you have available? I'm looking to upgrade my 9 year old to a pro kit...

RE: Best New Motor Break-in Technique

I am no expert on breaking in engines but after doing it to several engines so far, I have found that heat cycling has worked the best for me. My first couple of break in's I did, I followed the...

RE: Holeshots or Crimefighters??

The holeshots will be better suited for hard packed dirt/clay. If you are running a loose dirt track, crimefighters, bowties, gators, komodos etc... will grip better.

RE: is the O.S 21vg a good engine?

zjwhitrock,

I have owned a VG. I can tell you that the original piston and sleeve lasted 2 gallons. It did run good but didn't last long. I replaced the p/s and put maybe a half gallon through...

Yup. Put the shims between the shoes and the flywheel or else they will bind up.

RE: Got a new engine today

I saw that everyone has them on backorder. Amain has the engine/pipe combos of just about all of the RB engines. I originally wanted just the engine as I have a few extra pipes laying around but...

RE: Got a new engine today

Got about a half gallon on the RB now and its slowly starting to wake up. The pinch is really tight so I'm guessing that it will take a gallon or so of fuel to really get it track ready. The temps...
