RE: Run a Hyper 21 ? What da think of em ??

Great bang per buck motor, although replace that foddy carb with an OS #20E first then you're golden with a well performing motor. I personally use a McCoy MC59 glow plug (yes it's a hot plug for...

RE: Good truck for dad

Or the original HPI Nitro MT, the original 15FE is a softie, the new MT2's T-15 is a bit more powerful and much more reliable and still does about 30+ mph. Nitro MT would be a great truck to run...

RE: Hpi nitro MT

OK, I got 2 NMTs, Sirio .12, HPI .12R SS for one and Picco .15, OS .15 CV for the other, however I have a .21 conversion kit and an RB CS 5 port going in one.

The HPI .12R SS lacks some torque...

RE: 1 way bearing, grease or no?

If it's an external 1 way bearing (not in crankcase), blw any kind of dirt with compressed air and spray some WD-40 in where the bearing is, should last a bit longer but you'll eventually have to get...

RE: engine install

You got the pullstart version of the RG? Not good, the MP7.5 isn't designed to take pullstart engines, you'll have to get spacers to raise the engine with Kyosho's engine mount/plates. I'm certain...

RE: Help me with servos!

Also if you don't have EPA, the digital servo can struggle trying to go past the limited travel and drain the battery quickly, as they're already battery eaters anyways.

RE: How I spent $1338 on Inferno 'RTR'

My father got a Hitec 645MG steering servo, some blue OFNA MBX tires, nice shock towers, braces and steering block from Team Bluestar on ebay, and I have a spare Ofna center metal gear diff that I...

RE: Inferno Sports rtr stalls at low speeds

My father's MP7.5 Sports had the same problem, just lean out the LSN and increae the idle screw if needed.

RE: Hyper .21 8 Port Race or Picco .26

If you're up for sheer speed and torque, the .26 will do you good, it's a very fast motor and I know many people that owns one and loves it. The Hyper 21 Race won't have nearly as much power and...

RE: RB engines, wich one??

C5 is 7, 9 and 11 ports in versions, the 9 and 11 ports are for onroad. For buggy you'd want the 7 port, but 9 would do OK too. I can imagine they drink fuel like fish though.

I still can't...

RE: 8 port Hyper 21 carb upgrade?

I recommended the #20E carb to dagass and look at him now, he's worshipping it.! :) I use a #20E (bored out) with an #086 pipe and I get that "quick getaway" response with the 8 port at the snap of...

RE: Nitro MT

Mine's not completed yet, but I'm working on one with a .21 conversion with an RB .21 5 port, 1/8 scale buggy wing and shocks, etc. Other NMT will be all aluminum with a Sirio .12 and 2 speed...

RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RB WS7II , RB C5 , REX P5

Most of us do that to keep the fuel tank above half level, usually when the fuel tank goes below half it leans the engine out a little which isn't exactly what you want to happen. Most engines are...

RE: HPI MT2

Possible that your spur gear got chewed up and wedged between the clutchbell gears, or a flakey differential somewhere, definately sounds drivetrain related so ignore the motor (unless you want to...

RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RB WS7II , RB C5 , REX P5

Say, what's a good aftermarket cooling head? The O'Donnell ones are so expensive, and the Nova Race ones are tempting. Might want one for the WS7 and the CS 5-port (for the NMT, it already has a...

RE: Will the Hyper 21 4 or 8 Port Pull Start Engine fit into a Kanai 3 or a Hyper 7?

Most pullstart engines won't fit in the Kyosho buggies, if any. Shimming is the only way (O.S. provides engine shims).

RE: driving in the cold?

I have well over a foot of snow here and was doing funny donuts on the street with my NMT yesterday and driving it onto the snow bank at full speed, sending it airborne into the soft snow- what a...

RE: 1/8th scale buggy jumping a house video??

Yeah I have a video of a guy jumping his Kyosho over a house, successfully landing and driving it back to him, it was quite a sight to watch.

RE: RE: RE: RE: RB WS7II , RB C5 , REX P5

I'll be getting a WS7II instead of the P5, because my LHS guy can work me through a deal. He drives one himself in a MBX5 and wins races with it, he says he uses an MC-59 plug and has no probs, I...

RE: witch is beter mugen MST-1 or losi's xxx-nt

I've driven an MST-1 last summer and it's a great truck compared to others. If you can get the MST-1 with a Mugen MT12 or Novarossi RS12 engine, you're going to have a fast and crazy truck.

Rody C5 and Black Magic are definately up there, there are probably some others and outlaw engines like Picco .26, Sirio .27 Pro and XTM 24.7 Pro are also very fast. Most engines done by Rody, JP,...

RE: Running in below zero to 20 degrees...!

I run my Nitro MT in 0C temps sometimes, I try not to take it out under 0C though. The .15CV heats up easily due to the stupid square head (gets up to around 250F), but if you can get a smaller...
