RE: BUSA 1/6 scale Pup

HAH! The bane of modeling WWI birds, those rotary engines made for very short noses.
I am working on a 1/3 Pitts Special with the same problem. I am putting the batteries up in front of the...

RE: ME 163 conversion

Hi OJ,
Just making some guesses - a 40 motor is somewhere around .9HP or 673 watts. So if you want similar power from an electric system, we would aim for about that much power.
The Hobby King...

RE: Swap meet vapor purchase

The planes themselves are identical. The differencce is whether it came with the game style transmitter.

RE: New to Aerial Photography

Not to mention that fact that there are a zillion companies already offering the service.

If you want to do it for a hobby, great. For a business? You are stepping in to a saturated market.

RE: Am I ready for nitro helis?

Good choice on the heli.

Even having heard the rumors of better flight, you will be shocked when you first fly the Rappy. So much more stable.
What components are you putting in your new bird...

RE: 2nd Helicopter Options?

Any of the belt drive tail models would be a good step up. I would highly recommend that you consider moving to a more capable heli transmitter than the ones that are included with the ARF models. ...

RE: gyro under main shaft

What ct420 said.
The rotation about the yaw axis is the same, no matter where the gyro is placed.
Since location does not matter for gyro behavior, use location to get the best separation of...

RE: micro Heli indoor use

Sure! But realistically, all RC class transmitters have a range that FAR exceeds your visual range. The helis get too small to see them well enough to fly. I rarely fly my helis higher than...

RE: Gyro for T-Rex 450SA

My recommendation if you are strapped for cash - save up for a proper head hold gyro.

There is a reason that the VAST majority of people out there flying T-Rex helis use the Futaba GY401. It's...

RE: Flting the T-Rex 450 in the house?

Back yard is great. House, not so great. I do hover tests in my basement, but that is because it is my domain, and anything I break there is my own problem.
Seriously, if you have any mishap in...

RE: Tail drift in HH mode on TREX V2

Hi Bryan,
Another very common cause of drifting with a head hold gyro is excess frame vibration reaching the gyro.
How is your gyro mounted? Do you have any safety straps holding the gyro on? ...

RE: FMA charger power supply?

As BeavenX5 states, an automobile battery charger provides spikes of electricity that will be bad for your RC battery charger. You need a regulated power supply.

RE: new to airmodeling

Hi Farfa,
Yes, using a transmitter or a dummy transmitter as the simulator controller is the way to go. If you buy Realflight, it comes with a dummy box that acts just like a transmitter for the...

RE: How to get my battery ready for spring flight

Hi Robert,
You should know that it is beyond your technical capacity to prepare your battery. I on the other hand do have the charging equipment required to diagnose and charge your battery.

RE: Batery NiCd or NiMh?

4 cell NiCD and NiMH are both perfectly acceptable.
The gyro will behave the same with either.

RE: sims and first heli

Does your Tx have a hoop in the middle between the sticks? That is what the neck straps hook to. Pretty...

RE: Nitro Heli Trainer

What is your budget?
I believe that if you have a sim to practice on, then a 50 sized heli would be a great heli to start with and let you move on to more advanced flying.
I like the Hirobo...

RE: I need a new Heli

What gyro will be on the B400?
Going with a low end gyro will result in a heli that you have to struggle with, just like your BCP.
You know you need to upgrade. Pony up the cash for a Futaba...

RE: 6EX Futaba 2.4 GHz

Page 10 of the manual has a chart showing Channel 3 to be throttle.
