I've made multiple small molds and parts using Z-Poxy Finishing resin and routinely use it to fuel proof firewalls and such but I've not used it to make a fuel tank. My guess is that it would work...

RE: Indiana Warbird Campaign

If you fly formation long enough, sooner or later you're gonna get closer than you would like. Too bad Palmer didn't get 'the sequence', it would have been interesting to see just how close we did...

RE: P-38 Ziroli designed, built and aluminum plated by Metal-morphous

As pretty as the Red Bull P-38 is, it comes at a price. Those of us who have been P-38 fans for any length of time at all will remember 'Lefty' Gardner's, White Lightnin'. Time marches on and...

RE: Anyone Have a Robart P-47 yet?

This is how the flap servo was intended to be mounted. The aileron is similar.

RE: Warbrds over Delaware

Looks like Linda and I will be in sometime Wed., probably noon or so. Depends on how far we get on Tues.

Same ole stuff except for a new Robart/Ziroli ARF P-47. Plus a new nose strut in the...

RE: Yellow Aircraft F-14 Build Guide....anyone have one????

The instructions are mostly print with a few diagrams thrown in.

As soon as I get to a post office, they'll be on their way.

Good luck with the build, it is a challenging subject.

RE: Yellow Aircraft F-14 Build Guide....anyone have one????

I have what I believe was included in the kit. There are 12 pages total. You are right that it is a builders kit and the instructions do not come close to giving you all the information you need,...

RE: Scale Miniature hose/tubing

For that, I've used sections of flexible drinking straws carefully glued together and painted. This probably isn't the answer you were looking for either, but it is convincing when finished.

RE: Scale Miniature hose/tubing

Can't really tell what size you need from the picture, but if you pull the conductor out of electrical wiring, you can have just about any size or color tubing you can imagine. It will even...

RE: I've lost all respect for the "Scale Masters"

Even though it has taken some high profile abuse, the BOM is still in effect in the expert / designer categories. Even though it is all but unenforceable, there are a number of scale modelers who...

RE: Albatros DI

Hopefully in '09, I'll have something for the indoor scale contest. Also, with a little luck, you have taken care of all the DH2 midair problems for years to come. Hard to believe that little...

RE: Albatros DI

Great looking model Dave. Now you don't need a simulator, you can practice with the little one!!

Guess that explains why the DH-2 hasn't shown up yet.

RE: Wild Willy 2 w/ pics

I think I see what you mean about the screw with a sleeve in the slot for steering. I was trying to make it too complicated.

Thanks for your help.

RE: Wild Willy 2 w/ pics

It's a little hard to see, but the left, top (as you are looking at it) phillips head screw boss is cracked away from the rest of the palstic casting and the left bumper spring is not attached to...

RE: Wild Willy 2 w/ pics

Not sure what it...

RE: Dynamax fans

Back in the day, we removed half of the stator vanes in the dynamax. This has a significant effect on thrust with a minimum amount of exhaust 'swirl'.

Although I never measured it, 13# of...

RE: Yellow / JetMart F-14??????

Hi Dave;

The air bags, in my case, are made from a light weight fabric with an iron on backing to give it some 'body'. Under the fabric, there are strips of low density foam rubber that will...
