Rubber drift tires anyone?

Hey everybody.

I was curious if anyone still sold rubber drift tires like the HPI 34501 or 34502. I have used these ones for years and now they are discontinued. I've never been crazy about...

RE: Mamba MAx 5700 giving me problems again

None of my batteries are charged right now to test, but I did try to turn off the lipo cut off. It does the same thing with no cut-off voltage. I noticed that the red or green light flashes...

Mamba MAx 5700 giving me problems again

Hey guys, im pretty pissed off at the moment so bare with me. I just got a new lipo a few days ago, 2s 7.4 4000 20C, for my B4. I plug it in the B4 (which has a sidewinder) and it works flawlessly....

RE: ?Crankshaft and con rod no longer fit?

Well I turned the pison around and it fits, however the piston is directional, and its definately not supposed to go in this direction (It has a hole in the piston for the exhaust port).

Now im...

?Crankshaft and con rod no longer fit?

Interesting dilemma

I have an extra HPI 12r SS laying around that I toy with from time to time. Well recently I decided to make it into a spare drift motor for my stage-d RS4. Anyway, I took...

RE: Grinding a crank pin to eliminate pull start?

Yeah I had the contact HPI thing opened, but they I could just hear them now... "We recommend that no modificatins be made to the internal components of our engines. We offer aftermarket parts and...

RE: Grinding a crank pin to eliminate pull start?

Hmm, interesting thought. The HPI part number of the crank with no pin is only one number off of the one with a pin. The picture looks almost identical as well. Maybe ill write HPI.

Grinding a crank pin to eliminate pull start?

Hey does anyone know of any adverse effects of if I ground off the pull start (roto start) pin off a HPI motor? I got a solid backplate for it and have always used a starter box. Thanks.

RE: Anyone stuck a STS .28 in a buggy?

Yeah thats what I hear, it would really suck to buy another one, break a crank, and have two good engines with two broken cranks lol.

Anyone stuck a STS .28 in a buggy?

Interesting question I've though about asking people.

I used to run a STS .28 in my Savage until the crank broke. It was a beast and I was curious if anyone (or knows someone) who has put a sts...

RE: ****!?! Seriously about to give up on nitro! MACH 427 Issues continue

Lol I've thought about it. Just don't like the high start up cost. I am already sold on electric on road stuff, just still prefer nitro off-road.

RE: ****!?! Seriously about to give up on nitro! MACH 427 Issues continue

It really sucks that I have to get back on this post.

They engine had been running fine, I've probably ran 5 tanks through it with no issues. I decided today to hit the track and enjoy the...

RE: ****!?! Seriously about to give up on nitro! MACH 427 Issues continue

Interesting thought on the slide carb, could have been that. It is not a bump engine, I use the Losi Spin Start. I thought it could be leaking there, but there is no real way to fix that without...

RE: ****!?! Seriously about to give up on nitro! MACH 427 Issues continue

I finished heat cycles and started to open it up. All seems good, although it does seem like there may still be an air leak. That pinch bolt may have been the issue, but at this point I can't be...

RE: ****!?! Seriously about to give up on nitro! MACH 427 Issues continue

Well I tore apart the carb and blew out any crap. I also pressure tested it with my mouth, and its great. I put the carb back on a put a ton of silicone on the pinch bolt threads. I richened up...
