Watch out that when you push the tank home through the bulk head you don't press it up against the engine mount bolts which will ream holes in your tank over time. I have an 82 in my F40 and it lasts...

RE: Webra Speed 40 Dismantling HELP

The webra in question was chucking out black oil residue before I removed it for the strip. but when I took the rear cover off I found clear castor in the crankcase area. This led me to presume that...

RE: Sig Smith Miniplane build

More Pics. Have blanked off one inlet to change the inlet vs outlet ratio. The outlet underneath is now a lot bigger with the pitts silencer on so that should help. I will see how that affects...

RE: Hangar 9 Funtana 40

Wow this is pretty major heart surgery even for the S40!

I find it strange that the Saito 72 did not balance you model close to the H9 recommended position as its designed for that engine and...

RE: Hangar 9 Funtana 40

Agree, 1/3 cord is the standard if working from scratch. Your point on measuring from the TE is well made and technically sound.

Intersting that you are leaving the SFG off now. They looked a...

As you have done the wing mod what CoG do you fly the F40 at? (I'll take it measured from your new LE unless its not too much trouble to measure it from the TE which has not been messed...

http://www.podiumrc.co.uk/index.php is agood site for H9 spares. A new canopy for the Funtana S40 was only £4 including postage.

When you say CoG is at 5...

RE: Funtana X50 Elevator

RE: Hangar 9 Funtana 40

On the CoG issue I'd suggest you stick with the book figures from H9. Once you have worked the F40 out and can operate it without stressing yourself too much over its 'handleing issues' you can then...
