By charging at a 5c rating your overloading the power supply. You could try charging at a 1c rate. You might find that at 1c it will change faster.

None of your 3 examples will work.
A 12v supply couldn't raise the voltage high enough to charge a 5 cell battery.
A 12v 20a supply wouldn't have the voltage or current capacity to charge 4...

Analog servos are fine for 40/60 size planes....

Analog servos are fine for 40/60 size planes. Standard size servos are good for 6v. The go to battery today is a 6.6 life battery. You will need a charger that will do life batteries.
