I had a bit of a scout around and i found a big soccer field with extra room! a soccer field doesn't have the rather tall goal posts to worry about for landing.. so the electristar has snuck back...

Hmm.. i may just have to look into something a little bit smaller scale. I have a green area in my little housing estate i'd say about 3/4 the size of a football field.. and around it are houses...

I've had a ton of practice with my Hirobo Lama XRB Sky robo (coaxial) its a blast! but i really want a micron.. i hear it is a whole different world flying a fixed pitch.. would it be a bad idea...

I did alot of reading about the zipzap microflyer conversion... thats pretty neat! These actuators seem pretty simple, I just need to figure out how to get 90 degrees of throw off of the two...

I'm still thinking about it. That receiver would probably work well, but at $75 its a little pricey for my expiramenting plus it would require a seperate radio anyways. So far i have all of $10...

thanks for teh links! You are probably right though.. Just now i tried to fly around with a 9v battery taped to the bottom. I could get it in the air but it was taking a lot of power to keep it...
