RE: HET Sniper 70mm EDF build

Do not use part of the exhaust tube material he is sending as it is too thin and only good for exhaust, as the thrust will keep it expanded. You will need something stiff, like homemade layered...

RE: HET Sniper 70mm EDF build

The Sniper is notorious for having balancing problems. When it first came out, Mega 2T motors were the hot item and people were still flying NiMH's. I designed a 10 cell NiMH pack that had two sets...

RE: het f20 power system upgrades?

The 2W20 motor is a 4S only motor...the 5S pack will toast it.

RE: RC BRUSHLESS EDF JET SUPPLY'S

What kind of supplies? You can find fans, motors, ESC's and other items at www.warbirds-rc.com or www.ejf.com . Markos at warbirds offers free shipping, btw.

RE: het f20 bungee launch

Mark,

You should use at least 24 lbs of pull, but gauges and meters are not accurate. I recommend at least 80 feet of pull from where the bungee front is anchored as this model takes some extra...

RE: HET F-18 Advise

vettster,

Hand launching is not the safest way to fly this model; it is not a foamy, but rather a performance EDF that requires proper air apeed to get in the air and a bungee is the tool to...

RE: Question About Scale EDF For Beginners?

Stick builts are pretty much all RBC, while ARC's are K&A Models...those are the two big ones for kits. As far as the open air is concerned, I meant to say that there are no intake ducts for the...

RE: Question About Scale EDF For Beginners?

There are no EDF Jets that I know of that fly on rudder...they are either Aileron Elevator or use the horizontal stabs as Elevons, as in the case of the HET-RC FA-18 or F-16. If you cannot fly an...

RE: Question About Scale EDF For Beginners?

CastorTroy,

It all depends on how much you want to build, but anything worth its weight is going to be near or a little more than your budget. The Motor/Fan/ESC can be found for around $140 and...

RE: HET F-18 Advise

While I do appreciate MustangAce's enthusiasm, I would not recommend the JetScreamer motor for the HET-RC FA18 Hornet. What fliers tend to forget, or in the case of newer EDF pilots that have ever...

RE: Question About Scale EDF For Beginners?

CastorTroy2150,

If you are an experienced flier, I would recommend starting out with a Performance EDF model in the Minifan size. Something like the HET-RC FA-18, F-20 or Sniper would be a good...

RE: Question About Scale EDF For Beginners?

The GWS A-10 Warthog is a good choice and you can use e-flightline.com's brushless upgrade and turn it into a great flier.

RE: het f20 tigershark

Mark,

Shaping the intakes will get you a few more mph, but you don't need to do it. My prototype is still stock and flies fine with the standard stock intakes.

I left the receiver in the back and let the antenna run out the rear with no problems.

Mark,

Congrats on you purchase...you will be very pleased with the HET-RC F-20 as it is a very good model. As far as servo selection for the Elevator is concerned, I would recommend using the...
