I am using Futaba servoes and added 6 inch extensions to mine..
Ad for the gyro, I have a couple of Extra's, 3 Mustangs etc .. They are all tail draggers and no problems...

The thrust washer they are refering to is the one that is on the engine and the back of the prop backs up to... Not the one that goes on the front of the prop.. The idead here is to get the engine...

Looking forward to the flight report... I usually leave the cowl off mine also for the first few flights.. If you have to change the thrust angles etc it's nice to do so before...

As Patxipt said above... I went through the same thing with my Mag .01's... Was used to running Saito's... I had the Mag set for good transition and the pinch test also sounded good.. Still the idle...

Back in the late 60'd I had Lanier ARF called a Comet I believe... It was a 60 size red and white mid wing, plastic covered plane as I remember it.. Back when Super Tigers were the engines of choice...

Horizon is much slower here too... If the Tower order is coming out of Reno the joke around here is "Click on Submitt and go stand on the front steps ".... Almost that fast... Ususlly a couple...

Mine seemed to do pretty good on grass, I can only guess it is the drag on the wheels from the grass that helps... On a hard surface it's like veing on ice.. Interesting..

I think the sound test is deciptive myself... It works pretty well for Saito's but as in the posts above when the Mag is running it's best/most dependable it sounds like it is running very rich.....

Sounds a little small... I use a 14x6 as recommended by Magnum.. 13x8 might do it also... 12x6 is more a 70 size prop...

Sure seem that way don't they... Mine like rich too but they aren't fully broken in yet either... I know with my Saito;s it is a gradual process leaning the low end as it breaks in... I figure after...
