RE: Tamiya Tamtech Gear Thread

Yes, Tamiya is the best when it comes to the details. The new Ferrari version of the GT01 looks really awesome too. I might have to pick one up when it's released.

RE: team losi did it again! you gotta see this!

It does look pretty good. I hope they release a pro or kit version though. I have no use for those electronics.

RE: Radio System(Mini-T)

I will also make that promise. Trust me you will be much happier with one of the radios previously mentioned.

RE: Radio System(Mini-T)

This is just my opinion of course. (though it is also the opinion of many many others) The Losi radio systems are garbage. For only a few dollars more an Futaba, Hitec, Airtronics system will be far...

RE: Radio System(Mini-T)

Those are both good radios. I prefer the Futaba design, but you can't go wrong with any of those.

RE: Radio System(Mini-T)

If you want an inexpensive reliable radio for just playing around, these are hard to beat for the price. Later on if you add to your fleet you can just get another RX and use the multi model memory...

RE: Tamiya Tamtech Gear Thread

The new Frog has the DP 1/10 adapters, and Venom 1/10 touring wheels and tires. Those will be going on the Fox, and the Frog will be going back to a stock wheel tire set up for the time being.

RE: Tamiya Tamtech Gear Thread

Got myself another Tamtech. Got the Frog version this time. I am gonna leave the Mambafied Fox set up for off road carpet racing, and the Froggy set up strictly for dirt off road.

RE: Trinity Blade vs. RC18

If you were gonna be racing, I would say get the Blade. It handles better IMO. For bashing go with the RC18 it is a tougher car, and has more upgrade potential.

RE: NIMH Questions

You want to discharge nimh to .9 volts per cell. So 5.4 volts for a 6 cell pack and so on.

RE: ahh what truck should i get now

If you can't hold out for the Savage, maybe look at the HPI wheely King. It's a pretty nice truck for the price.

RE: RC18 mamba.. MAJOR cogging..help?

I would try moving the RX forward a little to get more distance between it and the motor. Let me know if it helps.

RE: Project AEROMAX - LB's first 3-speed..

That looks awesome. I would like to see a ladder truck conversion with functional RC ladders.

RE: RC18 mamba.. MAJOR cogging..help?

That sounds more like glitching from radio interference then cogging. I would try moving the elecs around a little, and put as much space between the ESC and RX as possible.

RE: reedy mini-mod 19t mod motor??

14/60 should be fine, you might even be able to run 15/60. With a 7 cell pack you should see speeds at or just above 30 mph, but your brushes will probably need replaced every 7-10 runs.

RE: reedy mini-mod 19t mod motor??

Prior to going brushless I ran the Reedy 17T and 19T mini mod motors and had great luck with them. Gearing depends greatly on the type of terrain you will be driving on ie grass, dirt, asphalt etc....

RE: foams torn up by concrete

Yes, my foam tires always outlast any rubber tires I have ever tried. I have some foams on the rear of one of my buggies that have been on there for almost 10 years, and they still work great. Mind...

RE: foams torn up by concrete

I run foams on asphalt and concrete all the time, and they hold up very well. Although I use tire conditioner on them regularly.
