If you're still having a hesitation what you need...

If you're still having a hesitation what you need to do is go richer on the primary jets/metering rods. One step rich of lean stumble will make that thing light up!

Dooling Yellow Jacket?

Hi, I'm an old fan of Dooling engines and wondered if any old-timers out there know the story of the Bruce Underwood Yellow Jacket. I can't seem to find any info on them. Would love to hear ANY...

RE: Help identifying Cox landing gear

Brings back memories... One of those red ones was my very first airplane, around 1970 or so... (I can close my eyes and still smell the fuel when the glow plug started to sizzle!)

RE: LA 65 Gurus!

Thanks for all the replies... I do need to center the engine on the firewall, I just stuck the engine on with one screw to weigh the plane and check cg. This plane has already flown a few times...

LA 65 Gurus!

I bought a 65LA for a bi-plane I have. It has a 72" top- 63" bottom wing, and weighs 8 1/2 lbs. with the engine (19 0z.). Is the 65 big enough or do I need to go to a 90 size? If the OS is ok,...

RE: Which engine for Extreme Flight Outlaw?

I'd go for the Thunder Tiger. Hard to beat for value... If you're trying to save $$$, make a mousse can muffler yourself. I think you can do a search here to find out how to make one. The guys...

Modela .12 RC

Saw this for sale at Hobbyclub for $60. I know people here are usually looking for lighter engines with throttles. I have a Modela diesel this size and it's pretty light and well made.
Just FYI...

RE: Taipan Glow Plugs

I happened upon this post and saw it was Fiery who was playing Santa. A couple years ago he sent me some OPS glow plugs new in the pack. When I tried to send him some cash for them he would see none...

RE: There was a time... January 1949

Don't believe George when he says his collection is not that big... He is a modest man, I've seen quite a number of his engines in the short (relatively) time I've frequented this forum! Ross

RE: YS FZ 110 crank bearings' life

As cheap as a set of bearings are, I would probably change them. When the bearings start to go, the little bits of metal can score the piston/liner and take them out. Ross

RE: New Enya .09

These are little jewels! Will last forever with castor in your fuel. I think Enya's are the most underrated engines here in the U.S. The ease of use, and longevity make them perfect for sport...

RE: 4 Stroke Questions

The third fitting is for a crankcase vent. You can put a piece of fuel line on it to direct oil away from the plane. Ross

RE: Cox .049: Babe Bee vs Black Widow

RE: Overloading an engine

Detonation, preignition, and the like aside, there would also be more side loading on the piston of an engine that is being over-lugged. This can lead to advanced wear/scoring of the piston/liner. ...

RE: Help! - Can anybody tell me what motor this is?
