Assuming the plane is in good shape, sure. Go for it. BUT, I would suggest you set it up as a sport plane with pretty conservative surface throws and CG location, then get to know it for a while. Get...

No experience with the Stinger version, but plenty with the now discontinues 10cc Evo, and the older 10cc RCGF rear exh. engines. I think maybe a comparison to a glow 60 might be a bit much, as I...

Larry, I'm 70, but I've been flying forever. I think God invented slow 3D for guys like us. Lot's of stuff looks great and is just as challenging when flown in slow motion!

I learned about receiver "brown out" and did a lot of testing on a similar plane quite a while back. Since then, I run 2 switches on all of my single battery systems. This for redundancy (I've lost...

I'd order the fiberglass tubes. The plane is already a fly weight with an absolutely ridiculous power to weight ratio. I generally save stuff like the gear when a plane goes in hard, but if I needed...

The starting CG's listed by the manual/instructions are notoriously inaccurate. If you've flown the plane, that "suggested" CG is a moot point that can do you no good.

The REAL/correct CG location...

Good point regarding max travel. Many servos are burnt out because they are set up with travel that cannot be achieved. Way better to leave a tiny bit unused.

I'm not sure where your carb is getting it's vacuum signal. It may be internally via a port that can be seen/traced from the carb flange, or it may be externally, via a short piece of vacuum line....

1st, there's no need to be concerned about over revving if you have the right size prop on it. A Citabria Pro should work pretty good on a 17x6. That's the easy part of your question.

The other...

Put it on the wing tube or the main spar and you'll be close. If you want to stay conservative for a maiden, put it on the front edge.

If nothing else, use the wing tube/main spar to verify your...

No need to ground the spark plug to the head when testing for spark. If the cap is installed on the plug properly, the metal cap and braided outer jacket provide the ground path.

If you can hear the spark when trying to start a DLE gasser of any size, you very likely have a spark plug boot that's bad, allowing the spark to jump to ground (the click you are hearing). Happens...
