You can use CA glue to fill in slightly stripped plastic threads to get a screw to hold, this is key on the threaded hinge pins...

You can certainly make the 13.5T motor work just fine but will require a little more fine tuning with the radio settings, after calibrating the ESC, I would simply dial back the EPA to around 50%-75%...
