Using K&S Sta-Flex Fuel Line.

I noticed after a tank of my gas/glow mix that the fuel line is hardening... should be fine for the fuel lines,
but I'm worried about flexibility in the line from...

I would be afraid that it might have stress fractures you cant see from the impact..

I'd hate to hear that prop came apart while you were over it adjusting the hight speed needle[:o]

Never noticed bearing problems, but those were modified engines that only last a few weeks before I would put in new rod bearings / rings / valve springs. I would use ATF to coat...

I'm using an 18/8 prop, so I suspect the number to be lower with the extra pitch.... I"ll be trying the apc 18/6w as soon as it gets in. Also going to try a 18/6 zinger wood prop.

Thanks for the idea's.... checked the seat pressure and it was fine.... removed the screen and placed a filter inline.

I finally got my fuel mix close: 2 part gas 1 part glow (10% nitro 12% oil)

That took care of the excess oil problem.

I milled the exhaust port to make up for the amount of gasket...

The saw was a Poulan Super Clean with Anti-Vibration handle. Part of the case and the carb was missing.

Go for the Decathlon from Dynaflite.... Its a very easy build.... only part that was a pain was carving the wingtips...

It builds very much like the 4*...... I built a 4* before...

You are definately in the heart of Kart country.... I use to travel to N/S Carolina to race unlimited 4cyle and 2cycle dir oval karts.

My sources locally have really disappeared.

Bill,

Understand your fuel mix... one question, you will be cutting your methanol % quite a bit.... Won't you have a problem with keeping the glow plug lit?

I tried those options.....

LHS won't order it unless a pallet of it is ordered.... TowerHobbies doesn't have it.... closest thing they have is 10%...

My supplier for Methanol will now only sell me Methanol in 5 gallon minimums.....

Can you tell me where online I can order a 10/10 glow mix?

Best I can find is a 12/9 mix...

Saw an add in a magazine with the website MM Magic.

2 Engines... a 45cc and a 30cc.... impressive #'s and resonable cost.

Anybody had any experience with these?

OK,

Engine: 31cc Ryobi

Went to 4 parts 87 octane gas to 1 part glow (10% nitro 18% Oil)

1) I got a noticable increase in RPM (still don't have a working tach)
2) More resolution on...

My mix is 2 part gas to 1 part glow (glow is 10% nitro 18% oil).

If I get some methanol what would you recommend I adjust my mix to?

Jstanton,

I'm in the middle of doing exactly what your asking... I have the wacker glow adapter, and the flywheel adapter. Both are well made.

I filed the lip around the spark plug...

I used to race alcohol gokarts..... believe it or not I can find plain methanol easier than the 10/10 glow[:@]

I'm using a fox plug currently ... I'll try with a saito 4-stroke and try the ideas...
