RE: Best tires for Slash 4x4?

Personally I run 1/8th buggy adapters and I run VP Pro "Axeman" at my track. They hook up insane when the track is nice and grooved. On a fresh clay dump I use AKA Ibeams and they are great too.

RE: Buying my first car. Advice?

Stay with the Slash and look into 1/8 buggy wheel adapters and you can run buggy tires like I do. The difference from stock tires to buggy is amazing and it handles perfect.

RE: I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TRAXXAS

Anyways, I digress as I have more important things to do than to...

RE: I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TRAXXAS

Dude lick balls, seriously. I don't give a **** how long you have been racing. Come to the track here and tell the people that are all sponsored how wrong they are for running aluminum parts. You're...

RE: I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TRAXXAS

Well booty-hoo! I replace parts with aluminum and never seem to have a problem. I race 4 classes and continue to put aluminum and carbon parts on my RC's and again, NEVER have a problem. So you're...

RE: I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TRAXXAS

And? With the replacement of aluminum or aftermarket "hop ups", I never have to deal with that same part that I replaced. So the theory is solid but it doesn't necessarily ring true in all cases.

RE: I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TRAXXAS

Are you guys talking about the Slash 4x4 PE ones? Because those SUCK! I can't believe how bad they break and also that they don't even loctite any screws from the factory. If you're not talking about...

RE: I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TRAXXAS

When you break something stock, replace with aluminum. That's how I roll.

RE: tires

Ditch the Rusty and invest in something better.

PS - You made 3 threads about your Rusty with 3 different questions asking about 3 different components. It would be easier to just simplify the...

RE: rustler vxl shocks

Buy a set of Losi 8ight Buggy shocks. Can be had for around $50 used on RCTech. But as I said in my other post about your Rusty, pull your VXL out and invest in something better.

RE: rustler vxl handling and stability

Do yourself a favor and rip the VXL system out of the Rusty and put it in something better. :)

RE: Dyed my Slash chassis

Okay here's a few pics of the finished dye job. I used "tangerine" dye for the gearbox and some of the front assembly and it came out much darker than anticipated. It's almost a burgundy. I think it...

RE: Dyed my Slash chassis

Yeah this is my first go at dying parts and so far I'm impressed with the Slash and how well the plastic takes on the dye. I have a pan on the stove right now dying the gearbox cover and a few other...

RE: How not to wash the new truggy

I laughed. :) Glad there wasn't significant damage. I've done the same thing to my Jato a few times and quick response is imperative to saving electronics. Call me quick draw McGraw when it comes to...

RE: Dyed my Slash chassis

What I did was this:

Buy the RIT brand dye color of your choice. Also buy a disposable turkey pan ($2.00), fill the pan up with water to cover the entire chassis and add the dye. Put it on the...

Yeah it was gray. I haven't decided on a color for the gear box yet but I want to do something different. I was thinking orange maybe. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the compliments.

RE: need info on.12 nitro engines??

My Novarossi .12 was the best motor I've ever owned. It smoked many .18's and the compression was insane. You're going to get a ton of opinions on this thread so do your research and go for it.

Dyed my Slash chassis

I got some RIT Dye and decided to dye my Slash chassis to see how it would work/look. I boiled it for about 20 minutes in a aluminum roasting pan and I have to say, it came out damn nice. I also did...

RE: Deans connectors vs Traxxas connectors

I prefer Deans for ease of soldering and use. Traxxas are good as well but with everything I have (batts, chargers, etc) it's just much easier for me to run Deans.
