It is a cardinal rule to balance your prop.

Your local hobby shop should be able to help you out with a prop balancer.

Also you can do a search on balancing props here in RCU.

It could cause vibration just like any dirt could. I think it might be more prevolent on a light weight carbon fibre spinner than an aluminum one.

Jetcats have auto start like most turbines today. So I believe that is how he starts them.

If I was him I would not be jumping off a heli until they have all started up.

I have both the 1.20 size DHC-3 Otter & 12Ft WS DHC-2 Beaver kits I am working on.

These are builders kits with very sketchy instructions. That being said they are not a complicated kit.

I also use fabric softener sheets in my RV & models stored in the garage since a co-worker told me about that trick he used in his RV.

I buy the cheap No Name brand as they seem to "stink" ...

I would say the DA is better since it is designed for models from the start.

If cost is an issue then the US is better.

With the carbon fibre fuselage you cannot use the regular 2.4 Ghz receiver in it.

You will need the special 2.4GHz rcvr made for CF models.

Mine has a 72Mghz PCM RCVR with a whip antenna...

Ask Martin if he could blow up the plans for you to the size you want.
