RE: Struggling with Single Rotor basics

As a CP flyer, I will say that you will have similar torque from changing the pitch of the blades, but not to the extent of FP.
With FP, you are not only increasing the speed of the head (torque),...

RE: Big Stik History.

Well, I traded my Nexstar trainer for one yesterday. Went through about 1/2 gallon of fuel since i bought it. It flies straight, level...no tendencies to roll or yaw. With the tuned pipe that was on...

RE: Flutter

I had some flutter this weekend. One of the aileron hinges came loose from the wood. Check those too.

RE: Need Polite Yet Honest And Friendly Advice On A Trex 450 SE V2

That would be my suggestion. Grab 3 HS-65s and a 9650 servo for the tail (use your 401 gyro). I also HIGHLY recommend the Cellpro 4s balancing charger. You can get the servos from towerhobbies.com,...

RE: Got a heli, now how do I fly it?

I second the rc field. It's a great way to meet new folks and learn new skills.

I never did RADDS, but I did read it. I basically started the same way without realizing it. Just get it light on...

RE: Help before I buy

Doesn't look too bad. I'm just wondering about that head. They say it's a 120-degree CCPM, but it looks like it's mechanical. I see that the front, rear, and left side have servos attached....odd way...

RE: complete noob, need guidance

It is broken. Return it.

The coaxial heli rotor blades should be spinning at the same speed when hovering. Both blades produce lift. The bottom rotor tilts to move it around. The top blade...

RE: Black Hawk 500 EP

LOL. Rubber band here as well.

I'm using Outrage XP25s.

The servos I have (HS-65s) dont have the length on the leads, so my radio is nestled under the back of the heli.
The battery is...

RE: two batt. in one?

The cell number and volts in a parallel doesn't change anything. The ESC still sees 11.1v. As long as the voltage is the same, a 3-cell ESC doesn't care if there are 24 packs on there in parallel....

RE: motor and esc. falcon 400 3d

Sounds like the timing got changed somehow, or the motor could be shorting out. Is it the stock ESC? If so, there are plenty of complaints about the ESC going on on that bird. Maybe time to upgrade...

RE: Need a E-Heli suggestion for my A123cells

You can use them in a 4s configuration on a trex 450 w/ scorpion ESC (as long as you have a separate BEC.)

The thing about the ESCs...
Most of them "can" allow a 4s configuration, however,...

RE: Coming to end of first yr flying Helis

Max, you're NOT going to be disappointed. My BH450 flew like a DREAM...until a servo locked up during a stall turn. I've gone to a BH500 (stretched 450) and so far it's just as nice.

ENJOY IT!

RE: spinnig heli Problem

that would depend on id they've reversed the picture...

If the main blades spin CW (like most model helis) then the tail rotor should be on the right side of the heli (boom), and then viewing...

RE: Black Hawk 500 EP

I also have a 500EP. So far, the only problem I have had is with the stock wooden blades, and the milk-carton-white canopy.

The blades seem to have some slack at the grip end (not quite...

RE: Training Gear or No trainnig gear

I used my training gear until I was good at hovering tail out (of my wife's accord), then I pulled them off. Haven't looked back since! :)

RE: How do I add pitch?

I agree...you will eventually have it in idle1 which is 0 at mid stick. get used to it now.

However, since you are asking, the LONG link from the swash to the very top is the one you will need...

Stripped maingear

RE: The Better HeliPro Black Hawk

We're here...just busy doing other things. I'm still debating getting an Align 450 to avoid the elbow-link play, and to fly a heli that doesn't bog down when flying it.

RE: king 2 upgraded head//one piece/help

The V2 of eth CopterX head has bearings in the washout bar vs bushings. Supposedly, after a bit the V1 bushings would wear a bit too much and bind up.

And as far a fit, the CopterX one does fit...
