RE: dead battery

I replaced my battery last night with a NiM, 4.8V, 1500Mah. Charged it overnight and voila! I have power again. I will get me a peak charger in the near future as well. Thanks for all the help RCU!

RE: dead battery

My findings are: With my charger plugged in and no battery on it, 5.6 volts. I add the battery, back to 2.6 ish. Based on this my charger is good, battery bad. You concur?

RE: dead battery

Out of curiosity, what type of reading should I be seeing off that charger? I have a regular volt meter that you buy at the store. I could hook it up later and stab at it and see what I get.

RE: dead battery

So I have charged the battery a couple times now overnight and I put my volt meter on it yesterday etc and it is reading 2.5 at best, it is a 4.8 battery if my memory serves me correctly. No matter...

RE: dead battery

You're right. I am going to check all of these things this week and track it down, heck, it can only be a couple of things, can't be that hard to pinpoint.

RE: dead battery

Yep, I am sure. I actually charged it all night last night out of the plane, red light on. I hooked it up this morning, nothing, not a twitch.

RE: dead battery

Yea, this was kind of a dumb question but I appreciate your input. Money is tight these days, hence why I haven't flown in so long. Maybe I'll run down to my LHO and have them look at it, see if it...

dead battery

I know this is likely an easy resolution but I'm just curious about it.

I haven't flown my Nexstar since June and I was gonna head out yesterday and fly. Charged it all night, getting excited,...

He said he would like to keep it under a grand so I guess his budget is higher than I thought. They have led's as well for lighting.

RE: FPV real time video

I'm not sure, based on what he wants to use it for I'd say 100-150? I'll ask and put a bit more info.

RE: MSR questions

Oh, I managed to fly my MSR into my 75gal fish tank this morning before work...all the way to the bottom. I blow dried it off, put a new battery in it and off it went...unreal.

MSR questions

This is my first heli, likely my last. Not because I don't like it but I just like planes more, and the MSR works great at home. :) My question is: is it normal for it to 'wander' so much in a hover?...

RE: DX7 question

Thanks Barracuda. I'll keep researching and playing and see what I come up with. I just figured I could get more control out of the msr with the dx7, maybe I'm wrong. :)

RE: DX7 question

Thanks TD. Yea, I'm familiar with getting into setup mode, problem is, swash menu doesn't show up. I tried for a while this morning, just kept going in circles, never saw it.
