RE: RCU Virus Infected

Sad that there aren't more actions being taken to remove the virus threats.  I would hope and think the admins would be all over this.  It may be part of a network / site outside RCU but something...

RE: Special oil for gas now?

Cool.  Was just wondering if there was any recommendation for a different oil to use in a higher grade / higher octane fuel.  I'll just use the penzoil I have currently.  :)

RE: Special oil for gas now?

That's perfectly fine with me. I would pay 10-15 a gallon for racing fuel to avoid the odor.

Good to know on the sealed container as well. Any recommendations on the best 2-cycle oil to mix with...

RE: Special oil for gas now?

Excellent, thank you. How expensive are we talking? I would gladly pay more than pump gas to avoid the smell.

RE: Special oil for gas now?

AV gas is 100 LL .. would the low lead cause a problem?  I have a Brison 3.2 and Evolution 35GT/2 ..  I hate the smell of gas, live in an apartment, and transport my planes in a closed car.   I would...

RE: Funtana 90!

I use a Sullivan tail wheel on mine as well.  Works great.<div>
</div><div>I've reinforced the frame quite a bit, what is everyone's opinions of switching over to gas - DLE30 or DL20?</div>

RE: Diesel 4 strokes

Excellent.  I like the idea of no ignitor, always a pain in my opinion.  I'm OK with one prop size...  I run a 14x8 on my Saito 80 currently, do you just adjust the mixture until it's running...

RE: Diesel 4 strokes

I have a Saito 80 GK as well.  Do you still use a glow ignitor to start it with no coil?

RE: Diesel 4 strokes

Interesting thread.  Looking at converting one or more of my 4 strokes to diesel.  Anyone convert a OS .91 FS, or a YS 120?

RE: Idiots in New York, RC plane buzzing Statue of Liberty & Brooklyn Bridge

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't agree with it either. It's not my perspective. It's unfortunately most of the US. I would love to go FPV flying in downtown New York. It would be great. I would also...

RE: Idiots in New York, RC plane buzzing Statue of Liberty & Brooklyn Bridge

Eh, just not smart. It was a very cool video, no doubt. Just not smart, regardless of whether rules were broken or not. With 9/11 and people on edge due to possible terrorism, I don't think it was...

RE: On-Board glow and RX same battery issue

Hmm.  Perhaps I should just keep them separate.  My curiosity has me going though, I still want to find why it's doing this.  <div>

RE: On-Board glow and RX same battery issue

This one has it's own switch as well. They recommend that you use a separate battery, but since I only activate the glow at 1/4 throttle and under, it's going to remain off most of the time The...

RE: On-Board glow and RX same battery issue

It works properly on one plane, so I would assume that with the same model battery, receiver, and glow system it should work on another plane. <div>
</div><div>How would I go about testing the...

RE: On-Board glow and RX same battery issue

Good thought, but no. It was working prior, as it's a standard servo lead that plugs into the receiver and the positive and negative wires were lined up correctly. It even shorted without the lead...

On-Board glow and RX same battery issue

I recently switched over to Hobbico LiFe batteries. I have been using an on-board glow system (Sullivan) with a separate receiver and glow ignitor battery for some time with no issue now. However,...

RE: Buffalo LifePO4 batteries?

Thanks - that and the discharge rate is drastically different.  I think I may stick with the Hobbico packs for now unless someone else pops in with experience with these.  Maybe for the price I will...

Buffalo LifePO4 batteries?

Anyone have any experience with these? $14 is a great price but are these any good? I'm getting ready to make an order for several Hobbico LiFe packs but the price of these are less than half of each...
