I decided to try the 1/16" rod thru the lug....

I decided to try the 1/16" rod thru the lug. Looks like it will work out well, at least on the test stand. Fuselage is not finished yet, so it'll be awhile before I test it in the airframe.

Another good idea. btw...did you use a standard hss drill bit to drill out the guide hole on the engine lug? I tried cleaning out the flashing left in mine, and my bits won't make a dent in it.

Is it possible to orient the choke lever on a DLE 35RA carb 180 deg from the factory orientation? I want to use 4-40 ball links for the throttle and choke, but the choke one will interfere slightly...

Thanks CK1 for the info. Actually, the test stand I'm building will have large rubber bottle stoppers as feet to provide some shock absorption. I'll post a picture when I'm finished.

Ok, thanks for the info. I plan to use Gator incidence adjusters on the plug-in wings so, I'll start with .5 deg positive and adjust back to 0 deg if necessary.
