Nice job Fanni..!
You've got enough power to have a very impressive airplane.
Good luck with it.

RE: (Something Fast?) Delta Build Thread

It is not possible to indicate the exact location of the battery pack...there is no universal location that is best for all the different ways that the people who are building these planes will equip...

RE: (Something Fast?) Delta Build Thread

After seeing how simple the design is and how easy they are to build....I was glad that I never bought the kit and paid $80 for $10 worth of materials.

RE: (Something Fast?) Delta Build Thread

Many years ago when I first discovered this forum there were a lot of Diamond Dust threads.
I wanted to build one, so it was a simple matter to find out the basic dimensions and I built my own.

RE: (Something Fast?) Delta Build Thread

Once you get up to speed the vertical area isn't a big deal, but the extra area is real handy for clean launches and landings. Lucky that it torn all the way off instead of leaving you with a big...

RE: (Something Fast?) Delta Build Thread

Acr007, Very nice!! You should have done your own thread about it, no need to be modest around here [8D].

RE: (Something Fast?) Delta Build Thread

For skids, use whatever that stuff is that the low riders use to send out a shower of sparks. [8D]

RE: (Something Fast?) Delta Build Thread

Looks SUPER TROY! That is a delta-man's delta. I'm not sure what a cowl would add to it at this point, it already has that evil, wicked, mean and nasty muscle car look. Checking the speed difference...

RE: (Something Fast?) Delta Build Thread

I would stick with the carbon props too, but APC has Q-40 props. Sometimes the most expensive way to do this hobby is to try to do it cheaply.

RE: (Something Fast?) Delta Build Thread

That is a cool looking little bird! Looks like the fins swing with the elevons. So Radical RC is the same outfit with the Outlaw? I've never seen a high speed delta flown aerobatically with flat...

RE: (Something Fast?) Delta Build Thread

Speedy, I guess cost is relative...I got champagne taste on a beer budget.
The most expensive engine I ever ran was / is a G&Z .061......way more costly than the Nalson FAI.
The second happiest...

RE: (Something Fast?) Delta Build Thread

The Nelson powered Dust just sits there waiting for me to knife into it and install a "HowFast?" in it. Outside of that it survived the Summer OK. It really is pretty expensive to fly, it blows a...

RE: (Something Fast?) Delta Build Thread

Mike, would you consider hogging the TT .46 carb out? The gains can be significant, if you don't mind loosing throttleability. Or just make your own venturi. Same goes with the stock muffler, either...

RE: (Something Fast?) Delta Build Thread

I've got a couple of open framework planes that do about that speed, and the covering hangs in there OK. When it comes to getting coverings to stick to resins, I think resins have a wax film build as...

RE: (Something Fast?) Delta Build Thread

To use iron on covering over FG has always been trouble for me, the gas bubbles are hard to control. For the FG belly armor on a little delta, I don't care if the covering sticks to it or not. For...
