Sopwith Pup, Balsa USA, 30cc gas

WW1 Sopwith Pup, fighter plane. Very low hours, Syssa 180 gas engine. Has dents, scrapes, etc,. Not perfect but pretty DAMN GOOD. 78"wingspan. Pick up only .

Looked back through a bunch of pages can't find my problem mentioned. Has anybody lost the pickup MAGNET ? Can I replace it ? Thanks, Dave

Slow and Steady Good point, I have 4 Syssas with 4 different choke setups, All work well but Ican see where the butterfly would be easier sometimes

I also have an Eindecker Syssa. Crashes second flight, too navese heavy. Just finished rebuilding it.

10% works OK But the best is get some Avgas. Not too easy I know. I live 2 miles from a little grass strip I can go in and get 2 gals, Best of luck, Dave

I put blind nut in top of wing instead of running the bolt through with nuts. Many flights, no problems, less parts to assemble. Just an ides for next time. Happy New Year, Dave

Two comment s on previous posts   $3.0a gallon PLUS about $1.00 a gallon for a good oil.      Next- The best  30cc engine is MADE  IN  THE USA. Can you say SYSSA ?

The RTV  might  also reduce vibration  and help with the muffler problem. Did you see the  new AMA  magazine did a write up on the SAP180. First time anything in a national mag I think. Todd is going...

The DLE20 does  a good job. I flew one a number of flights until I had a tip stall only with MAJOR damage. I am building another with the SYSSA180, 30cc. Should be a blast., Dave
